I am trying to do an overhaul on a Alien LED. I pulled the ram out and man is it dirty. I really think it has had 10 plus years without a cleaning.

I was wondering if you can take the ram assembly apart and get inside it to the ram shaft o-rings. I'd like to replace them and put the whole thing in a parts cleaner.

If you have the right tools, it is possible to take apart the LED/LCD ram. Finding the replacement seals will be the difficult part and not always does the rebuild work.

By proper tools what do you mean. I have access to a complete CNC machine shop, annodizing, degreasers, parts cleaners, and everything in between. Are the replacement seals exclusive to the LED ram or could they possibly be sourced form McMaster\MSD type places????

Tools required to take apart the ram housing and hammer without damaging the material. You should be able to source out the parts.

It looks like the ram housing is threaded into 3 pieces...is this true??

If sent into you would that be part of the ultimate tuning package??? The ram is def not as smooth as it should be I think.

Yes, three sections for the housing. Ram rebuild is $50-$60 and carries a 06 month warranty.

Wow....thanks for the info. Debating on whether to sink that much into a marker this old.
