With all the improvements in the Speed, how come WDP has not put a Lithium Ion battery in their guns to completely eliminate battery memory problems?

Probably cost. The rechargeable battery already adds a considerable markup to WDP guns over many competitors. Look at most of the other electros, they run off $3 9vlts. Angels run off a factory supplied battery/charger combo! Add the extra expense of designing interfaces for this and charging technology integrated to the gun, and a 9vlt Angel for $700 seems possible.
Then again, it wouldn't be an Angel...
If you want a Lithium Ion battery, you could probably have a pack custom made, or at least a better Nickel Metal Hydride one that the stock. There was a guy offering this service around on some of the forums but I don't recall his name or business.

I wonder how this will affect Intellifeed. Or if they plan on doing away with it altogether. That would be a shame, I love that feature.

What type of solenoid is the Speed using? Different than the ir3/03 LCD?

that sucks.
Perhaps they will release a version with all the goodies? Game timer, Intellifeed, etc. Obviously it will be much more expensive, I'm willing to pay IR3 prices for a SPEED LCD with all the bells and whistles.
