Ok, my team mate finally received his charger, he charged it up worked fine tonight at practice. Half way through practice the board acted like it didn't have a full charge and found out it didn't. The problem is now when he charged it the board stays on with everything on the lcd lit up and sometimes theres nothing there. Yes I know it needs to be on to charge and now this happens. anyone have an idea or ran into the same problem. Thanks,
Chris

It's not taking the charge that's the problem.

i THINK it might have a memory so you need to do a "reset" to the battery. i forget how to do it tho. i could be COMPLETELY wrong tho. now that i think of it i had a batt do this to me before, i just swapped chargers and it charged. odd i know :[

Measure the voltage on the plug that goes into the gun. If there is voltage, with it plugged in GENTLY moved the plug around to see if its the connector on the board. Make sure you have the power switch on.

where are you charging it from, car or wall charger. If it's the car is the engine running.

I looked in the stickies and I knew I saw there was a way to completely drain a battery. My question is how do I do it, lol. Thanks.

you shouldn't have a memory effect on the g7 fly, as it used nimh batteries.

you shouldn't have a memory effect on the g7 fly, as it used nimh batteries.
In the same vein, it doesn't hurt NIMH batteries to keep them topped off. You shouldn't have to discharge them completely, a-la NiCad batteries.
When a NIMH battery gives up, it'll just plain GIVE UP, in my experience.

It may be that the battery voltage is too low to start the charge. This used to happen to the lcd's, and leaving the charger connected for 15 minutes then restarting the charge sequence would work ok for them.

we could not get a reading but we changed the fuse and we still could not get a reason i am going to try my charger on a freinds gun and see if the charger is the problem
