Trying to find options, just in case I cannot find a charger, and/or the battery doesnt work.

Options for an LED, to get it powered, any thoughts?

If you can't find a charger, start from scratch. Go to Radio Shack, get some male/female terminals and a charger from an A4. Here is what I did but, in this setup you can't use the LED charger port any more..oh well.http://img117.imageshack.us/img117/5003/img0506un4.th.jpg (http://img117.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img0506un4.jpg)

You can convert it to run on a 9v. I've done in, it worked fine.

If I can remember correctly, you run a capacitor to dumb down the voltage to 6volts. Not sure which capacitor to use. Run it between the 9volt battery and you harness.

I just bought a 4 AA (4x1.5v == 6v!) battery holder at an electronics store (so that'll be radio shack for you yanks) and soldered the connector of my busted battpack to it, then fixed it to the outside with zipties. It looks ugly but it works, and when it runs out you don't have to wait for it to recharge. Afaik you can also drop in a tag sportz board that has space for a 9v.
