New Angel owner

Hello everyone!

I am from Florida, have not really been too serious abt paintball (had two Strykers, played few woodsball games, few airfield games). The other day I was tooling around eBay and ran into this Angel for $200 (2000 LCD):

Predator board, clamp feed neck, laser eyes.

Picked it up for Christmas gift to myself :) Want to start playing more seriously....

Need some help here, not sure if this thing uses HP or LP tank? What would be a recommended hopper for it? Do I need anything else to use it (it comes as pictured)?

Sorry for the noob questions, thanks for any help

First read ALL stickys in the LCD section as majority of answers can be found there.

Halo w/ v35 ship is my reccomend for hoppers as they are all i use.

HP tank. LED,LCD,IR3 03 speed were all HP guns and everything after 04 speed/A4 series use LP.

PERSONALLY i would sell off the predator board and put in a UN1 board with a NOX or ACE chip as the MT;s support them and predator mods are not that reliable IMHO

Admitting that you were gonna part it out is a first step in recovery process haha

Again sorry for the noob questions, but those older Stryker guns are just so simple and can't be messed up, I dont want to f/u the LCD by mistake.

LCDs r tanks. they take anything pretty much and keep on ticking, thats why i have 2 as loaner guns :D

Read that manual really good. Angels aren't hard to take apart/do maintenence on as long as you take your time and follow the manual's directions until you get the hang of it.

Remember that you have an aftermarket Predator board in your LCD right now. None of those modes mean anything. I believe you can get a manual for the Predator board from Tag Sportz or do a search here or at PBN.

Honestly with that setup you have right now, the first thing you need to do is get out there and shoot with it. You have eyes, you have a board that has modes, pick up a hopper and a tank and get out there... you'll be impressed with what that thing can do even being around 8 years old.

Don't feel bad about Shibby's "extra parts" comment.... I have a red 2000 LCD that looks just like yours. Have the eyes and all. I as well have had wonderful luck with my Halo V35. One recommendation though, if you're looking to buy a used loader... be careful, way too many people out there trying to mess with their loaders and actually hurt them in the long run. Sound like you got a tank from Shibby so you should be ready to roll.

The Ultimate Sticky in the Angel Sports section over at PBNation has some cool threads about stuff you can do with your gun and all. I'm the author of a few of them so if you have any questions, feel free to ask away.

I'm going to say it again, I think your current set up is ready to rock. I can't speak much for the predator boards since I've never owned/shot one but I've seen LCD setups with them install shooting on YouTube and they do a damn good job.

Thats what I'm thinking, should be all set from the getgo. Shibby also hooked me up with a hopper, so I doubt it's been messed with (too much)
