ok...i am sure i am not the only possible buyers of the Angel Speed that need some explanation among all of the chaos in this Forum....

My questions to THOSE WHO KNOW FOR SURE:

Will the Angel Speed work properly with a preset tank of 800psi?
If not, What can you do, besides spend a fortune on a new tank, to make it work properly and at a decent F.P.S.?

Does the Angel Speed come with a set of Volumizers? If not, what is a good reccomendation for it?

Any other questions, just post them here.....somebody please clear up the confusion...

I really dont think we will know until more people get their Speeds this week, then maybe some of the answers will being to come out.

However I do know that the speed will take a new reg (AKA Sidewinder comes to mind) that will let it go LP if it turns out it cant take presets.

I have heard through rumors that you will be able to buy the volumizers afterwards if you wish to operate at a lower pressure. And yes, just popping on a diff. reg on will enable you to get normal a normal fps, I like the sidewinder, I have one on my matrix and one on my cocker, they are sooo consitant and have a good out put pressure range.

I really want this explained as well. I want the nitty gritty as to how it operates on what tank. Heck I want a table such as:
Input | Output | operating pressure | expected FPS
850psi 300psi 180psi 290fps

That would be nice. Also, if any tinkering of the mini-reg and/or other internals has to be done. And, what setups are recommended and why. I want a rundown of EVERYTHING!
Whew! OK I'm good now...

definetly...if i have to by a different tank...i say screw it...the gun isnt worth that much....i know this is swearing here...but the E-Orracle is looking more appealing among all of this...

You won't be saying that when you are spending more time tweaking/fixing it then playing :(

Let's not get panicky LOL
I'm waiting for one of the Top Techs to get back to us and lay it out.
I played with cockers in the past and I have seen E-Orracles and cockers with E-Blades in the past month having issues all the time, no thanks. For the record I love the autococker for it's design and that's why I originally got one; but it sadly has too many things that can, and often times do, go wrong. In my opinion an electronic autococker also defeats the design and purpose of the autococker...but what do I know?
Flippin' purists. lol

i have heard alot of good things about them....but thats just from around here...doesnt mean anything...

anyways....back on topic....if it does require a different reg or adjustable tank or whatever.....it is definetly going to turn me away from getting the Speed.....

i believe that since the gun is low pressure and the minireg was designed to be low pressure (a high pressure inline wont operate right on a low operating pressure marker), so when you screw a high output pressure tank into it, whammo!, the pressure is so high the mini reg can't really restrict it too much and the out put pressure of the mini reg is raised significantly which means the lowest fps you can get is like 300, I could be wrong though, this is just what I have picked up around these forums and have compiled. As I and others have previously stated, most likely the issue is just the mini reg, other low presure regs will work. I know an issue of many was that they couln't afford an adjustable tank like the AIR or maxflo so they thought they were basically screwed for while, a solution would buying a different low pressure inline, unless the new speed operates under the output pressure of current inlines and only can be used with the mini reg, but I seriously doubt the speed operates lower than an AKA Excalibur which the sidewinder is made for.
Just thinking aloud....

alright...so how bout this...Crossfire makes a tank that has an output pressure of 450psi...would that be sufficient??? cause i am planning on getting a new tank anyways....

i've been told that the new pe preset tanks can be "adjusted" by removing or adding shims to the reg.

Something to think about...

Even if preset tanks work....

Different tanks/regs have individual characteristcs related to pressure and flow rate.

Low pressure guns performance will be directly related to the ability of the tank to deliver a consistent flow of pressure. Low pressure guns will be more suceptable to velocity fluctuations, and drop offs due to lack or inconsistent flow rates.

It may be wise to have an adjustable system, so that you could match that individual tank/reg to perform at its optimum

I know that Impulses (my main line of experience) can work fine on presets and they are as LP was anything else out there. I am just amazed that WDP would do anything like this, it just doesnt make sense...

I emailed Ron at Mo's and he said that he had no problems shooting a Speed on a pure energy preset nitro tank. I am very curious about this as well and will let you all know what happens when i finally get my gun

I would just use a preset with a sidewinder on top of it. Your gun doesn't care what tank you have, only what is going into it. Have a good reg somewhere in there and you're set.

ive tested 2 speeds with pre-set pire energy 68 4500 high pressure tanks and i didnt have any problem

Fraser said that it will work fine for any presets up to 900psi output pressure and that if you were still having trouble, to lower the dwell.

Also, not to mention, eblade cockers are............ GAY!
