Hi Guys, i don't get on here as much as i would like but i've got a question for you.
Is there a mod out there to convert the lcd to operate below 400psi.

It would be nice to have these lovely markers working at low pressures and firing fragile paint, nice soft shot, minimal kick.

Contact user "chris71383". Chris has converted his LCD to lp. I've used some of his tips to drop the operating psi down on my lcd as well. Just a heads up, it takes quite a bit!

Just a heads up, it takes quite a bit! Thanks, looking at some of chris's posts we're working along the same lines. I've got an lcd working at 300psi with a very simple mod, just got to go through rigorous testing to see if any problems arise before releasing the details.

I can give my insight until Chris posts or this thread is updated.
Going the ERA Free Flow mod or doing Chris's LPR mod is the first step. It leaves a larger valve chamber allowing more flow. Getting a higher flowing vertical reg also is key. Chris and I both use AKA Sidewinders. After that, you'll want to install a super light valve spring. I've gone the route of using a stretched out pen spring. The next step is to start opening up air passage ways. I've only opened up the valve chamber feed hole. It's the hole that goes through the vertical reg adapter, through the body, and into the valve chamber. You'll have to use a drill and open the hole up as large as you can w/out going too big. Make the hole too big and your vertical reg adapter won't seal anymore. I think the stock hole size is around .11 inches. I opened the hole up to .151 inches or so. Chris has taken it a step further by ramping the hole areas to give more room for air flow.
I'm still working on getting my settings straight. With my lightened hammer and ram shaft, my pressure is still a bit high. If you were to do as mentioned above keeping your ram and hammer stock, you should be able to see lower operating pressures.
I hope Chris pitches in here eventually. Either that or you can do a search to see where he discusses some of these things.

I've still got a lot of testing to do, but without any alterations to the flow side of things i'm getting 300psi and no drop off at 15bps, and that's with a totally standard lcd.
