I need your input guys. Which raguba trigger style do you like the most? I'm very tempted to buy a new trigger for my angel because I'm not too happy with the stock trigger because the opto activator is so short. It makes my trigger too close for it to shoot the way that I like it, which I don't. Just need to know which one you like the most. My options are mainly the swing and the grub.

That's really personal preference. I tend to use more of the meat part of my fingers instead of my fingertips. For this reason I went with the swing shape. I've been using that shape on other guns (Scythe on an old Ion, Critical on a PM6) for a couple of years now and have found it allows me to reach higher ROF's with my shooting style--even one-handed while reloading or with my off-hand (lefty). See if someone else has a similarly shaped trigger, even if on another gun, to help you make an informed decision.

thanks, skilz. I held several guns at Critical with their swing trigger, but I haven't shot any guns with this type of trigger. Critical has a A1 swing trigger on the way, but their magnets are set up as reverse polarities, according to them, which gives the springy feel. The only thing I'm concerned with is the opto activator, which is the exact same one wdp uses. It might be too short with for my liking. I'm a fingertips guy, so I definitely like the flat style trigger. But some high manufacturers are switching to the swing style, so I'm assuming its for a good reason.

can anyone post pictures with their generation 2 raguba triggers installed on the A1. I'd like to see each type of trigger.

I thought i would like the gen 2 Raguba swing. I installed it and tried to get it set to preference with no luck. It was TOO precise for my taste. The grum or groud would work better for me since my fingers are used to a flat level surface. Apparently the "sloppyness" found with the stock trigger complemented my sloppy trigger pulling. :)

I prefer the Groud. It's basically a straight line and it's very easy to walk. It's all personal preference. Here is a pic of the Second Gen. Triggers:

I haven't really seen much slopiness on the stock trigger. The only issue I see is that the opto activation point is way too short. I also think the stock trigger is a bit on the heavy side. I'm about ready to just add some metal to the prong. I know that will solve my problem. I tried to remove the metal thing from the trigger, but I can't do it.

I wish they fit on the A4 Fly, my preference for the choices above, "GRUM", i prefer a solid feel all through the trigger, no variations so that when my fingers touch the trigger, no matter on what part i am used to it, but it is all personal preference, i think that is why i like the MT triggers, other than the small bend they felt A+++

ive had the swing and the groud triggers. both nice i actually found that the swing was much faster than the groud. both of mine were gen one.

I wish local stores had them available so I feel the difference. I miss the good ol' days when there were paintball shops popping up left and right. Nowadays they are closing down faster than you can say supercalifragilisticexpyalidocious a million times.

Hey Bob, do these have a longer activation point than the stock trigger? I like my trigger out as far as possible, but have a very short activation point.

Would these be ready by the time you ship back my A1 body? I sent you the silver A1 for the rear pivot pin grub screw extraction. If so, can you add one to my list with the other parts (A1 field kit, A1 solenoid gasket, A1 foregrip seal, A4 L.P. valve guide, and L.P. valve spring).
I want the one all the way to the right, with the s-like shape.

Here's mine:

I had a friend bring my gun down to Cup for some teching--he said Frazer worked on the gun and loved the feel of the trigger. Fraz, that true?

that looks SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCCc!
How's the activation point on that? I'm assuming it can be adjusted much longer than the stock trigger.

Yep, it's a pretty long screw that's used to trip the opto. You have to be careful seating the trigger at the top though... for some reason it was difficult to get one screw or the other that secures the bearing pin to go all the way down, causing the activation point screw to hit the lower opto housing on the board. It took me a couple of minutes to figure this out, then I got it to where it just barely misses hitting the opto housing. After that it was just a simple matter of adjusting it (barely needed any adjustment for my liking--2mm pre, 1 mm post) and that was it. It adjusts very similarly to the stock trigger at the top, but be very careful adjusting the activation point as it's very easy to scratch the trigger's ano with the allen key due to the limited space afforded by the trigger guard.

Thanks Joe. My team may be stopping by Arena during the winter (we usually practice at Atlas), holla if you see me with the gun.

for those that have the swing style tigger, I have a question for you. How does that trigger perform when you use your finger tips at the edge of the trigger? Like I mentioned before, I'm a fingtips guy and I'm used to flat style triggers. I'd like to get as much input before I make my purchase.

skilz

For me, not so good... but that's probably because I'm simply not used to it. I just cannot get a good rip when I try to fingertip it (I tried going 3 fingers, did better at it using my friend's A1 with the stock trigger).
