Im thinking about getting back into the game. Im looking at the a1 but its been out for a while. Should i just get the a1 or wait and see if they release another gun better than the a1? Also what hoppers are you guys using? What are your opinions on a pure energy 88ci 4500 low pressure hpa for the a1?

I use a Halo v35 on my A1 and i haven't had a hitch with it. Not one break from the hopper on 30,000 shots. Most guys us the Velocity because they are gentlier on paint but my V35 with the upgraded drive cone is perfect so far.
The A1 i don't think is going to change much in the next model. I think they will keep the same body but go with different internals. Whatever is coming current A1 owners will be able to upgrade to it

HP=very bad for an A1. I believe most people have found the best results with an LP Crossfire tank (about 550-600 psi, if I'm not mistaken).

Great price, however I've seen a few posts around here about horror stories with Pure Energy/PMI tank regs (advertised as LP but actually putting out over 900 psi). If you get it just make sure you test its output pressure before putting it on your gun. Again, the A1 works best from 450-650 psi.

An 88 is going to be huge on an A1, it's such a small marker. My 68 on my A1 seems big. BTW, I have a Vlocity with Blitz Chip and it works flawlessly on my A1.

That depends on the gun, paint, barrel bore, detents, etc. I use a 70ci stubby (I'm a back player) and have never run out of air during a game.

I have my A1 set up with the Joy/Rage settings, 2.2 software, gen 2 parts, new 3 piece eye covers/detents, and using a Deadly Wind Fibur Barrel (Freak Inserts). I get about 1550 shots from a 68/4500.

Nothing wrong with running a bigger tank if you have longer arms. I run a 45/4500 and it feels great, but sometimes I wish I had more air. I never run out of air, but I need to fill more frequently. A tank that large should be able to get nearly a case of paint off with a good fill. If that tank feels good, use it. If it's too big to be comfortable, trade it off to someone with a spool valve marker and get a 68/4500 LP crossfire.

I run
Hopper: Empire Magna
Tank: ANS 68/45 W/CP reg

Never let me down, never run out of air, i generally carry 4-6 pods on the field, any more is over kill, esp in X-ball events.
Oh, my teammate had an 88 sitting around and we put it on his A1 just for giggles, huge

You have a good point, i think im going get the 88, if its to big for me, i'll just sell it and get a smaller one. So out of all hoppers how does the halo B with Rip Drive & V35 Board(the one im looking to get) rank for the a1?
