Hey well not quit sure what the problem is with my marker but it shooting extremly hot... purchased the exhaust gauge and lpr gauge but only recieved the lpr gauge... I put it in the appropriate area on my A1 and when I gas up my gun, the air leaks out like crazy from the back, is that normal... is my gun messed up?
and when I gas it up, my LPr gauge gets maxed out, I made sure to turn my velocity way down.

Help me!

Check to make sure that the right gauge is on the right end. When I got both of my gauges the wrong gauge was on the wrong marker fitting.

So you may have the LPR gauge on the exhaust fitting and if you hit that little gauge with 230#'s of air you will dink the gauge.

First off check the output pressure of your tank, even if it says its an LP tank, check it. Now if your screwing the gauge into the back of the marker and the gauge's numbering max's out around 150psi its the right one. Now without your HPR gauge its impossible to tell what your mini-reg is outputting, try backing out the velocity adjustment screw on the mini-reg and see if that helps in dropping your LPR pressure reading. You will still need the HPR gauge to set things up but without it on hand there's nothing you can do about it right now.

As for the leak try putting a little marker grease around it and make sure its screwed all the way in. I'm guessing once you get the mini-reg output down considerably the leak will no longer be an issue.

Well i got the right gauge at the right place... and well it's not really a leak, it's more of a spill... it's just pissing out from everywhere.

considering your original problem with shooting hot that makes sense, especially if your peg'n your lpr gauge, check the tank output and back the mini-reg WAY down and see what's up after that. Most of the issue's with A1's have been attributed to tanks putting out too high of pressure and hammering the mini-reg. If you put a gauge on your HPR i'd bet that it would be up over 500 psi.

I'm almost positive it's the LPR's internal face seal. It's what happened to my gun and a very simple repair. Just gotta buy the LPR rebuild kit and have tools that will allow you to remove a circlip. Go this this site (http://www.wdp.tv/leaks/leak-diagnosis.html), click on the box in the back of the A1, and read the last part (#5)--here it is verbatim.

A leak from the back may be caused by an over pressurising LPR this can be caused by damage to the internal face seal 5. Replacing this portion of the LPR will return the pressure back to its normal range and will correct this leak.

Well for some wierd reason... my buddy came over with his tank and I put it on my A1, it like for like 2 seconds hten stopped. Then I put my tank back on and there was no leak (but my tank might of been empty maybe like 200psi in it) so yeah his tank worked fine, so I'm assuming that my tank is fried well the tank reg is anyway... but trying it out again today to see what my LPR is and checking my velocity, still can't check the tank output pressure, still don't have my exhaust valve gauge. I'll just have to do without for now.

If I have to change my tank reg, can I just put any LP tank reg on it or is their certain ones for certain tanks, and do I have to retest tank after switching regs?

Before you jump on the tank reg take it to an Airsmith or your local paintball shop and have them check its output, any marker with a gauge on the ASA will do. Check it with a full fill. And I would really recommend giving what skilz posted a try, an LPR rebuild kit is much cheaper and easier to do than a reg replacement. If it does end up being the tank reg a lot of times a good cleaning and lube of the reg can resolve the problem, if that doesn't work then you should have a qualified Airsmith swap out reg's. If your looking for reg suggestions the LP CP tank reg's work very well.
