Anyone know if its is safe to use a lithium battery on these markers? Specifically LiFePO4 9v batteries.

you should have no problems so long as it is outputting 9v (but in reality 9v output like, 10v+ some even 13v)
You really shouldn't spend the money on lithium batteries, the angels were meant to run off a low voltage hence the economical solenoid.
stick with duracels or if you want, invest in Powerex's. I have about 4 TRUE 9.6v Powerex's and they hold a charge like no other rechargeable battery i have ever owned.

Since I got my A1 tried using Duracel's and after 3 weeks of play they are toast...
I put in a lithium and it works more than double that...
I know that the A1 is supposed to be low voltage and all but they eat batteries in comparison to other guns out their.
the group I play with ... we have 3 A1'a a Dm5, and 2 A4 with Virtue boards...
on a normal 9v Duracell the Virtue last the longest .. then the dm...
the A1's run out of battery first..
I don't mind 9v rechargeables.. but you have to go through the process of charging and swapping the batteries... (which was what I was hoping to get away from with the new a1)
I don't want to swap the batteries a million times because the little metal tabs on the board.. are not gonna last forever... so I've stuck with the lithiums..
my 2 Cents..

Duracells last you 3 weeks? damn, I got my gun on friday. Around 460 shots and its down to 3-4 bars. I left the battery on the gun to see how long it will last. I know mine won't last 3 weeks. Do you leave you battery on the gun or remove at the end of the day?

Let me make sure I'm not leaving out some valuable info..
I play for 4-5 hours every saturday... so a duracell lasts me about 13-15 hours of actual play time.
yes I leave the battery in the gun in between the weeks..
Yes I noticed also that after the first game you play with a new battery it goes down quickly...
My reccomendation is Lithiums... you can get them online via

I hope this helps..
Thanx
