Wow, my first Angel I get is an Angel 1 and it's got a bad eye out of the box. I tore it apart and checked connections and it was seated properly, the eye simply doesn't work. Does Angel not have any quality assurance? It's not like it came unplugged, the wire all the way from the board to the eye looks intact with no pinching anywhere. Nothing like finally putting some paint through it and finding out it will only fire one paintball cause the eyes are borked.
When I spend $1,000 on a paintball marker, it should work out of the box. I'm a little bummed because I'm not sure it will be fixed in time for me to play on Saturday.
Way to instill confidence in your new customers WDP!

Have you carried out an eye test by placing your finger into the breech to simulate a ball being in place. if the finger is seen by the eyes a ball will appear on the screen?
I can assure you all of our markers are tested 3 times for gas tightnes and that they are all test fired with paint and have their upper and lower limit velocity tested.

I agree with Frazer here. The left eye is just a receiver not a Laser too.
What mode was it in? Most come in demo mode. Did you try switching modes, or force the eyes on and off by holding the trigger? If you are confident that the eye is the issue then give one of the many MT's that frequent here a call and see if they can get ya taken care of. Since it's new warranty is not an issue. I feel ya on being a little disappointed, but I've had more expensive items give me problems right out of the box, the important thing is that WDP and the MT's do a damn good job of taking care of these issues and standing behind their products.

Remember, only one of the eyes lights up, the other is the receiver. I would check the modes, settings, etc. Do an eye test to determine if it is in fact the eyes. You may also try to reflash the marker. In addition, remember that these markers are shipped over here to us. Things can happen in shipping that would not be WDPs fault. I speak from experience because I work for a package delivery company and know all too well what a package goes through from point A to point B.
If you are still having issues send me an email at batman_25932@yaoo.com and I will try to help you out or call one of the MTs here who do in fact support WDP customers like no other company does.

It was in semi-auto with eyes turned on.
Only one eye lights up. I didn't know this was normal. I figured they both should.
Regardless, when I put a ball in it, it shoots. Second ball isn't detected and it does not fire. The second icon shows the balls with a / through it and then it beeps and LED goes red. Maybe they are out of alignment or something? I'm going to bring it to the store I bought it from today and have them fix it.
Thanks for your responses :)

Let us know what the problem was when you can. Oh and have them check the solenoid...I seem to remember there were a few faulty ones from the factory that worked fine to start then started giving a similar problem to yours.

Also, when I took it apart and removed the mini-reg, per the instructions when I removed the velocity screw from the grip, it said to be sure not to lose a small ball bearing.
I saw no ball bearing, is this bad?

No its OK. It doesn't always fall down the opening when you remove the screw. If you lost it you would know cause air would be rushing out the mini reg. You just want to be careful when removing the reg to make sure it doesn't fall out of the opening entirely. You are OK there.

sounds as if the trigger could be adjusted too tightly

Apex- adjust your trigger out.

Agreed, it sounds like your trigger is so tight that it is not reseting and thus it is shutting off your eyes. Like they said, make your trigger pull really long and set you activation point somewhere in the middle. Then shoot it some, if that fixes the problem, slowly shorten the trigger pull to your liking making sure the activation point is still in the middle of the pull.

try a new battery also.

actually, yeah, he did adjust the trigger to shorten the pull. He only adjusted one point though near the top of the trigger which I thought was sort of odd.
I actually asked them when I brought it in today to bring the trigger back out some, but to keep the pull short, so maybe that will fix it?
Although, wouldn't that cause problems with dry firing it? I had no problems with dry firing.

if your activation point is really close to your pre-travel stop it makes it so sometimes the trigger wont reset, but sometimes will. so if you shoot and then it doesnt fully reset its the same as holding the trigger in, which shuts off the eyes. this might explain why it would work while dry-firing.
I pretty much just re-explained what others were saying

Angel is fixed now. One of the eyes was bad in the ribbon cable. They replaced it and it's detecting balls and firing normally now.
Thanks again all for your responses.
