View Full Version : Bob!!!
Hey Bob, I loved my A1 so mutch that i decided to get a PL A1, and I just got my Joy A1 Today, I dont ussually get used guns and i got screwed on this one, I was told the marker was like brand new but the marker had quite a bit of scratched on it and the built in rail is snapped off. I was just wondering if it is possoble to buy a new Frame for my Joy A1 and how mutch it would cost?
thanks alot
Takes approx. 4-6 weeks for a special order frame and they are roughly $120. We would recommend milling off the broken rail and adding a bolt on model.

damnThe new Angel rail that comes with the Angel 1 ASA is just awesome and would look great on the JD Angel 1.

Done that to my Blue Dust looks sweet once the standard rail has been removed and CP mini rail put on.

Ah The fun that is not buying a used gun from a store.
ya that was defenatelly the first and last used gun i ever use, the JD A1 was all messed up, bolt stick, pressures all messed up, breech was all misaligned, breach seal all gummy. Good thing i knew what i was doing.

ditto, but buying a new gun is the best of both worlds, you get a warranty and you don't have to deal with problems with the marker.

Yeah, but that takes all the fun out of it. When you buy used you should expect the challenge of total rebuild.

Not when you're spending a couple hundred bucks, bro.

If your getting an A1 for a couple hundred bucks you had better be planning on repairs. If the only thing good on it was the body and frame, then you got a couple hundred bucks worth of parts.

Well, apparently the only thing jpx said was wrong with the gun was the scratches and the broken ASA mount. It doesn't seem that a total rebuild is necessary for this gun. jpx, how's it shooting (if you've been able to gas it up)? Off hand, would you mind letting us know how much you spent? I hope you didn't buy it from someone on these boards.
no it was bought off tdot, in the end, the rail, scratched, valve stem, where brocken, ram was acting up and the bolt was sticking, and the breach was un aligned, fixed it all, i had a spare stem and ram, and i jb welded the on/off there lmao, did a clean job. So about 100$ in parts, but the guy is sending me a gold tip UL since he screwed me lol, so im happy :)
