Is it just me or has the A1 really lacked in modifications. I love the gun so much, it works a treat, however there is such a limited number of things I can do too it. Sure I can buy an expensive color kit or buy a board, but the things pretty solid as is.
I'm wondering when more triggers, asa's, and other minute changes will be available.
I live in a capitalist society gosh darnit, I wanna spend my hard earned money on this stuff.
I still haven't seen any links for any advertised add ons either than WDP itself.
Why?
BECAUSE ITS PERFECT

You can get many after market parts if you look in the right places, clamping feeds, barrels, boards, reg mounts, regs, ASA's, grip cheeks, and triggers are all available.
Now the questions is are any of these parts that are available actually any better than the stock parts that come with your gun, or are they getting put on your gun as a fasion item?

the angel was meant to be treated like all other high end tournament markers, turn on and shoot as fast as you can pull with a few goodies as well. They chose a direction where there are no to little improvements to make which is what Dye and PE do as well.
it's like saying you bought a ferrari and another guy buys a civic, upgrades and mods the living hell out of it, but it will never be as fast, reliable and stylish as a ferrari.
I was reading a post on the nspl forums the other day, a Guy was asking when the New Angel was coming out..... another posted up that there was not going to be another new angel for a while but they are bringing out a Fly version of the A1 ?????? which would mean different milling and reduced weight.... is all this true??? not to sound rude but ok I could understand maybe doing an A1 with different milling for a cutom build but is there really any need to make a fly from an A1. To be honest personally the only part I would change on my A1 would be the toggle on/off as it feels a little delicate, but then dont want to change from the stock board so hooo hum on that one...

There is speculation here: http://www.angel-owners.com/showthread.php?t=68385
a little some1 told me the A1 Fly's will have new internals as well:angel:
new internals hmmmmm LIKE WHAT????http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_32_1.gif..... NOOO ok im not reading anymore threads on this hahahaha I just got through posting that the A1 was PERFECT now you got me on it.....http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_14_11.gif just real me in why dont ya
he didnt really tell me which internals, but from the sound of it, it sounded like a new ram, and maybe a new lpr. I heard alot of people wanted a rebuildable ram so that might be it. Cant wait to see what it will look like.
I heard, when ever a new model is released it will be equipped with a heads up display, blue tooth hopper interlink, GPS and a water fusion power cell. Oh yeah and a hand crank giving one hour of play.

comparing my A4 to my A1 is not too perfect for me.
1. i just wish that there is an upgradable rebuildable ram for my A1 just like the evolve on my A4.
2. i just wish i dont have to take off the eye cover and front face frame where the eye cover sits, inline reg and reg adaptor, trigger frame... just to take off the valve body.
3. i just wish i dont have to take off the solonoid and put air in just to pop out the lpr. and wish it is adjustable too.
4. i wish i didnt have to take off both grip covers just to take off the battery.
5. i wish i didnt have to take off the trigger frame just to take off the RAM ASSY.
6. i wish it was as efficient as my A4
now things that i liked about the A1 better than my A4.
1. better eye logic:detects if the eye is dirty
2. better board... by far the best board out there, imo
3. comes with the barrel kit.
4. comes with an ASA
5. self cleanning eyes.
6. two bores into one. no need for the volumnizer.
7. comes with the clamping feedneck.
all in all the A1 is more on upgrades for the functionality and downside on the maintenance and also some less durable parts. so IMO the A1 is not perfect.. but also a great gun.

I couldn't help but comment on this:
1. I want that too, that would be sweet. I've been asking for that for almost a year now. As long as it doesn't lessen the performance of course. BTW. does any place still sell the Evolve A4 FLY ram kit? I'd like one for my A4 FLY.
2. I can live with doing that. How often do you remove the valve body? Once every two or three years? Even if it's once a year it can't be that difficult to remove the other parts you mentioned just that once.
3. Why not? Gives you and excuse to clean and perhaps change the gasket seal under the noid.
But if you compare to say a DM7, aren't you happy you don't have to remove the noid evey time you need to clean or replace the eyes... The parts have to go somewhere and I prefer the A1 setup every time over most of the others. As for the externally adjustable LPR, it may make it easier to adjust the LPR, but it's also easier to adjust it... wrong.
4. What?!? I never do that. I just fish it out with an allen key.
5. Same as G7 platform.
6. Check the gasket seal for minor leaks, get a lighter hammer and set the gun to 4 ms. It'll be more efficient. Also I heard some of the old Gen 1 rams caused inefficiency? Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that.

as for the battery problem if u take a piece of electrical tape and wrap it around the battery once and put the two ends of tape together, you can fold it against the battery fits nicely between the battery and grip and creates an easy to use pull handle, so no more taking off both grips.

im not frustrated or really disappointed at my a1 i truly love it. also not comparing it to a dm7 or a g7.. im comparing it to my a4. its the same performance and shot accuracy, a4 is more accurate with mine. probably because its more heavy plus i've been playing with it for the past 3 years. but thats all its downside is being heavy and still i run and shoot better with it. everything else is sweet with my a4.
i love both my guns 100%.. 60% on my a4 and 40$ on my a1 =)
