Best PDA for the IR3

I'm about to buy a palm pilot for interfacing to my IR3. Based on your experiances which is the best one for the job. Oh yeah and i don't want to spend more than $300. So come one come all with the knowledge for my problem. :puzzled:

anything in the Palm line will work. I bought an M105 for like $108 after taxes, not sure if you can find them new anywhere anymore tho. The M130 works as well, and I think they are under $150, but don't quote me on that price. Check Office Depot, they've usually got really good prices.

if all you want is the ability to run the Angel software then go with something low price like I suggested, if you have other intentions then do your research on Palms at a good Palm website, and then just make sure that it is a model that runs the Angel software, that's my suggestion.

Handsprings have no problems with running the software.
I run a palm, handspring, and a sony with no problems.

I do prefer the sony clie.

I got the Sony Clie SJ30. Money wise, I think that the Sonys offer the most for the money. They came out with a newer version of mine that plays mp3s, about 250 new.

I will have to tell you about Handsprings....They must be running Palm OS 3.5. I had a Visor Deluxe with 3.01 and all I kept getting was "old serial Manager" error. I went to a Ebay store and got a palm 105 for $85! It came with 3 faceplates, leather case and bonus software....ALL new! It talks so sweet to the angel! When I talked to Frazier last he said that the Palm 105 and 515 were what they had used and worked very well and a few of the sony's

i was talking to mikey from warped and he recommended using the palm IIIex for that glitch (vibes and freezes in safe) deal... so whats up with that? i think that one is a lot more than a m105 series... i was going to check up on this any info anyone... who here ran their patch program to their IR3 using an M series palm??? did it work?

I use a m130 and it worked find to send the "vibes path" and it talks find to my FLY =)

okay so I'll :repost: the fact that I've been saying since the beginning that the M105 is just fine for the Angel Palm software program, and it's not very expensive. Dang I even said it in this thread......does noone really read anymore?

I have a Palm m505. It is the best Palm for the price. It has 16 bit color, 8mb memory, and two expansion slots. i got mine brand new for 175 off ebay. Works awesome with the software. Id say to go with it.
