...So after 2-4 months in the shop(It was so long I nearly forgot I had an Angel in the shop...) and after another couple months of sweatshop style work hours...and school...and everything else under the friggin Sun... I finally got to play with my newly Predator'd Eclipse LED. As as mentioned in another post, the workmanship by TAG is pretty stellar. My only issue is with the eye covers...They work...but don't fit so well going down by the gripframe. Also, the milling done by Eclipse doesn't leave much meat (aluminum) for the eye cover screw on the left hand side of the marker. Nonetheless its on there and it does function fine.
Other than that, the beast is a champ and worked perfectly outta the box. Turned it on, chrono'd it and I realized TAG had totally tuned up the marker and I didn't even have to adjust anything aside from how few trigger pulls it would take before the ramp kicked in...I said 3...I know, I'm the devil. Setting up the board is tricky at first, but with the instructions and references that TAG offers...its no big deal. Anywho, it shot very well and is basically like a brand new marker. It had no problem whatsoever keeping up with all the new high tech crap out there. I don't know what all the new Matrix's and Ego's and all the other high-end markers that are popular this week are called, but my dinosaur held its own...I was confident behind the gun and on the trigger. I did experience one problem...apparently I played with the programming so much...for like 2 months since I didn't have the chance to go play...that I drained the battery and it started to fail on me after the second game. Played that game as if it was a bolt action. The gun would turn itself off, so I flipped the switch after each shot...on and off...and I was still mowing newbs left and right. Anyways, hit the car, popped in a fresh 9volt and was relieved that I didn't have to bust out the 'back-up' non-Predator'd old school Eclipse LED. The battery gave it life and I was rockin and rollin the rest of the day. So much for the one ref that laughed at me and said he had heard of these primitive early angels...or the other one that asked what it was...then again he commented on never having heard of the Free Flow Lotus 'cocker I had in my gearbag. Whats wrong with todays youth? I intend to find the answer to that question...Thats why I did this mod to my LED. Now I'm back on top. I mean, this Eclipse is way more stylish than my A1...I mean, who rocks splash ano anymore. I do.
My only complaint is that I didn't turn my rof up high enough. My bad...next time gadget...next time.

Does Tag still do this mod? I've been out of the sport for a few years and looking to add Eyes to my Eclipse Angel. =)

honestly I dont know if they still offer their service to LED's. Hopefully they do, 'cuz I want my other Eclipses done aswell. But I havent heard much of anything from the company. Dealing with TAG, just be patient, thats all I can say. They do great work...slowly. Very slowly.
