I got me a used G7 Fly ( not well taken care off) and have been working on it (pictures later),changing a few things/upgrading here and there to decrease the weight some and increase performance (not that it needs it). Just a little project to keep me busy in my garage. My questions relates to the battery and the board. That battery stick weights a ton. I know is a 4.8 volt, but I can seem to find the mAh this battery puts out and/or the power the board needs. I am trying to figure out a way to keep the stock board but change the battery somehow thus weight. The new A1 uses 9 volt battery. Has anybody figure out a way to do this or is it possible? I have been researching on the net and there are many 4.8 volt batteries out there but different mAh. I do not want to fry the board. Any help or advice?

Stock G7 Fly battery only weighs 2.0oz and an average 9v weighs 1.6oz. The stock battery is 650mA

Thanks for the reply. I weighted them out today and you are right. Only a saving of less than an oz.
