I am fiddeling with my stock bolt and figuring out many problems it has, within a year, I will have a finished product. Contact me for ideas and also questions and concerns with the stock bolt. Thank you.

Don't bother, In the last two weeks I have made two. They are based on the idea that the stock bolt is inefficient and I designed one that flows more air. It works pretty well and is very consistant in terms of velocity but I didn't see any improvement in accuracy. It is morte efficient than the stock bolt but, big deal I play tourneys and I fill after every game anyways.
I will probably continue to tinker and see if I can achieve the results I am after, but overall I wouldn't devote too much energy to this project if I were you.

Maybe we can work together. I have many plans for a special bolt, you will see when the time comes.

It would be real tough, but consider making some version of the level 10 bolt if possible. Anything that will reduce chops. Us LCD users dont get any Anti Chop Eyes, so that would be a hot seller as opposed to sending your angel to warped sports and getting an ACE for $250. Ill keep posting ideas as I come up with them, but put me down on the list of buyers if you do make a bolt like this.

Consider ertalyte as the premiere material. Delrin is ok.

What is a level 10 bolt. I hadn't considered an anti-chop bolt, I was working more on a more efficient, and consistant air flow design. Right now I am using delrin because I had some in my shop.

A lvl 10 bolt is on a mag and it will always pinch the ball. Its actually less efficiant than the stock mag bolt but it will never chop. I can stick my finger in there and it will just pinch. Tom kaye even has a video where he puts his tounge in the breech and pulls the trigger a few times. I dont think ill try that on mine though!

Here's the score. I have two Rough drafts done and ready to ship to two people willing to test them out. I say rough drafts because I don't have all my jigs quite the way I want them. The machining is a little rough but they work and wont hurt your gun in any way. They are designed around the idea of easing air flow by openingthings up and giving the air a more direct path.
Here's the deal, the first two people to:
1)give me a mailing address
2)agree to test and evaluate the bolt
3)agree to give an e-mailed report on performance (I know the appearence needs to be cleaned up)
4)agree to include both possatives and negatives, with suggested improvements
Can have these two bolts. I don't need them back or anything, just the fact filled report.

As long as youre sure nothing will happen to my gun, I'll try one out. It'll be a little less week before I have my gun back (getting a tune-up), but I'll really give it a going through. Let me know the best way to give you that info.

BTW guys, if you want more info on the Level 10 bolt, you can check it out here. http://www.warpig.com/paintball/technical/paintguns/automag/level10/
Its a pretty comprehensive review.

Here are some more details on the bolt I am working on. The breach of an Angel has an ID of .712", and a stock bolt is .708". This is far too much play to be very efficient on air. It makes sence for production because they are making so many and better a "little" loose than tight. The other weekness in my opinion is the restictive air flow.
What I ahve done is to make the main body of the bolt .708" like the stock bolt. However, the front .25" or so is .710"- .711". this gives it a much better seal. By making only the front .25" larger there is no undue friction and we still have a good seal. The length, pin placement, and hole location are the same as the stock bolt. If you blow through a stock bolt and my bolt you will see a dramatic difference in air flow. Mine flows more freely and in reality the air will hit the ball more softly.
Those that are interested in trying one should e-mail me with shipping info.
will we be charged for one? id be happy to try one out and evaluate it if i could get one

There will be no charge for the prototypes I am currently working on. I plan to make six test bolts that I will distribute to people for testing. Currently I have two done and more will be soon to follow. My goal in the testing is to see if indeed my bolt is superior to the stock bolt and if so, in what ways.
The six prototypes do not need to be returned but the more informative the feedback I get, the better the final product will be.
If it is determined through the testing that there is not a signifigant improvement in performance I will not go forward with producing them. I only say this because it indicates how important your feedback will be in this process. Those of you who test them will be very much a part of this process.
What I have noticed so far is a better flow, and the noise signiture of my marker seems to be less sharp, the noise seems to be a little deeper. The better flow results in higher velocities at the same setting. I have no idea why the tone is changing, but I like it.
Anyways, anyone interested in contributing to this project drop me an e-mail so I can get a bolt out to you.

I'm down send me one, one thing you might want to think about is putting a ball detent slot so that the bolt doesn't hit the detent or the cops senser.

Hey folks, I didn't get the info. I have a tourney this weekend so please be patient. I got one persons info in a private message but nobody elses. My e-mail is wdnfly@aol.com. It will take me a week or two to get all 6 done and shipped so be patient. I promise they will nor hurt anyones marker, I have been shooting one for a couple of weeks and I have no complaints. I am not saying anymore so I don't taint others opinions.
Thanks for all the feedback.
