Broken Feedneck.

Ok so this past weekend, me feedneck on my Dark G7 broke clean off while I was sliding into the snake as I played. It looks like the threads on the feedneck are pretty stripped, and I tryed Red Locktite on it to hold it, but it won't screw back together. Anyone have any suggestions, short of using JB Weld? or buying another feedneck? Could I possiably get the threads retapped? Any help.

Jeremey, why would you want to fix it, it broke once and I wouldn't want to risk that.....just get a new one. Count yourself luck that you could get it out!!

eardor, I might take you up on that offer. Tom, what happened was I was sliding into the snake (btw that was up there at Seek & Destroy this past Sunday) when my hopper and feedneck still attached, flew off my gun. Both sets of threads, the one on the feed neck and the one in the gun, look like they may have been stripped. I used red locktite, and screwed the feedneck into the gun, and it won't stop screwing into it. I've left it that way now for the last two days or so, and it seems solid again, but I haven't put a hopper onto it yet. As for a stock feedneck, well I've got a Dark G7 Angel here, and the stock feedneck on it was the Function clamping style.

I think that the warped sportz feed necks threads are just weak. I hit the side of a ply wood bunker and my dark fly did the same thing. The thread on the gun were fine so I just put a redz champing on it and have had no problems since.

lmk jdemon, its just the stock feedneck off the g7..i dont know if it matters to you but its the graphite blue its a fairly dark blue color, thats all i got(i got a new feedneck so i dont need it)

that happened to me with my CCM feedneck, now my Lucky Un1 Tec barrel got a clean cut and the thread were stuck in the gun. My barrel fell off on break, I made it to my bunker and then I noticed I have no barrel.
