I have shot about 2000 rounds over the last 2 weeks. Is this enough for the break in period?
Anything else I need to do other than clean, lube?
Also shoots funky. Needs to be adjusted.
Thanks
Greg

...also can you recommend someone local to do tune up after the break in period????
I'm located in Chicago

The typical break-in period for these guns is more like 10 cases of paint, I believe... pretty much on track with most high-end markers. There really is no tune-up necessary--get yourself a set of gauges to make sure your pressures (mini-reg and LPR) are set correctly and use the Joy/Rage settings found here (http://wdp.tv/newsupdate/281106-update/281106-updates.html).
After about 4 cases you should see a drastic improvement in the performance of the gun--the remaining break-in is simply to get the regulator to become more consistent. After that, all you really need to do is add 1-2 drops of Love Juice into your ASA and dry fire a few times every 4 cases, remembering to wipe down your bolt afterwards, and every 10 cases strip down the internals (mini-reg, LPR, and ram) to clean them and lube those with Dow 33.
There's plenty of posts regarding maintenance from guys much more knowledgeable than me, so have a look around. Congratulations on getting one of the best guns around and prepare to mow faces!

i have a ?. do you have to use paint to break in a gun or could you simply use reballs. i dont see what the difference would be but im just curious. thanks

you actually dont really need to shoot paint at all
i brok mine in whit reballs, i have a scuba tank to refill my gun, and i just sat in my backyard shooting reballs for like a half hour a day for a weekend.
broke it in pretty fast, make sure you wash the reballs everytime, they get the gun very dirty if you don't, if dirt gets in there, it might scratch your breach, happend to me
I've found that reballs are pretty hard on the detents so I would recommend taking out your detents and inspecting after shooting say...every 500 or so reballs. Pay particular attention to the base of the detent nub. Other than that fire away, I usually load up a couple of pods with reballs and blow off steam after a hard day at work, always makes me feel better.

I did the same, Reballs and a scuba tank and some extra detents and go at it.
Truth be told though, you really only need to check the pressures of everything, set your trigger to your liking and set your velocity and play. It'll rip and break in on it's own.
