Stiffi Tip: Gauging Interest

I contacted Site Mfg. recently regarding their Stif tips. They apparently make tips for most manufacturer barrel kits (ie; CP, SP, Dye) for $75. I expressed huge interest in getting these made for the A1 backs (great kit, why upgrade?). Someone contacted me back to let me know they will go into production if a minimum of 50 was ordered. Anyone interested?

What length(s) are we talking here? Plain CF or painted?

The representative that I received the email from did not get into specifics. I can only assume that you would be able to purchase any design or carbon weave you like. Once the threads are made, the tip is pretty much all the same from barrel to barrel. The painted ones are $99 on the website. The tips can be bought in 6, 8, or 10" lengths. The stock A1 back measures 6 inches I believe.

I would love to join you guys, but I already have 3 individual stiffi's with a1 backs for a made up small bore kit. If I reconsider, I'll let you know. Good luck!

I don't think so. You would have to contact Site Mfg. directly to find out.

nexeradg-I see, well just keep me on the list, as a "maybe" and if someone is fully in, they can fill my spot. I would like one, but the camo needs to be darker, like in their logo. Only red and black, no light greys.

Instead of using your stock tip, this replaces it. You still use the stock A1 backs, and can upgrade with the bore kit!

YES, I am in for a Red front. Same length as the stock 14" tip. Needs to match my red dust A1's. Let me know on the details when you get them.

I just contacted Bob from FMA. He might be interested in getting in on this group buy. As far as time frame from when we get the 50, it is 6 weeks after the order has been placed.

I'll find out tomorrow when I test the gun out at a local shop. It is definitely lighter than the stock tip (don't ask by how much, just by feel) and its bore is well polished. I do wonder if it's as large as the stock 14" tip (.700) or if its bore is slightly smaller like the 16" tip (.695).

Howdy I know I haven't been a post machine, but I thought I could help out some. Did some measurements and found out that the A1 Tip weights 1.7 oz, and the Stiffi Tip weighs 1.6 oz, but is a little bit longer than the A1, here are some pics, of the Blue.

I also tested the sound however I do believe that the stiffi is a little more quiet, but not significantly, best I can describe is the A1 tip has a "THWACK THWACK" and the Stiffi has a "POP POP" more of a tone change than anything.

nah, actually I am really impressed with the tip. a bit quieter than the stock tip, and a tad lighter. more or less for appearance, but I can see how much lighter a full stiffi or sly barrel would be over the stock. practically weightless, minus the threads.

On the other hand the A1 with the pro settings and this stiffy this gat is sick. Three piece eye covers with new dents as well as 270/57 this gat is a kill machine straight up. The nylon hammer no kick.

The best gat I have ever used from 1989 hands down. WDP for ever......
