"Connect Marker!" = Me Angry!

Ok, i am having a problem installing the 2.2 software on my angel, i followed the instructions then, i get to the ANGEL Series 1 Flash Utility, then, the instructions say, "Switch on your angel 1 and connect to your PC via an appropriate USB lead when prompted". So then i choose my file, then the utility says to "Connect Marker!" So, i do what the instructions say, and, nothing, it just sits there and doesn't find my angel... Then i go into "My Computer" and see if i can find my angel 1 in there, and nothing... I NEED HELP, if anyone can help me please help, i'm getting frustrated... I have read threads, and they still don't help.

Have you ever flashed the board before? Do you have another A1 you can try? It may be as simple as the board is just bad.

I have no other angel 1. this is my first time trying to "Flash", Thanks so much for the fast reply. BTW, i think my whole gun is a dud, the regulator and the trigger/grip frame do not align properly.

Ok, back to the software, when i connect my angel to my PC, it beeps 3 times, in a low pitch, but usually when i have something connect, it goes, bum bee or something, you kind of get the point.

Is there any other tests i can do? To make sure its an actual bad board?

Could it be i'm not useing the right USB cable, i read in another thread about something A and B...

The cable your using. Did you buy it, or is it from some other device?

I do not know where i got it, it was at my computer and it fit. So i used it.

If it helps, it works with my PSP.... Don't know what i should do.... I want to update my angel soooo bad!!

Then it should work with your board. You could always go out and buy a new cable and see if that helps.

Far be it for me to second guess Bob, but I would try a new battery and reinstall the entire A1 flash utility before jumping to the worst possible conclusion. If that doesn't work, then feel free to freak out. =)
