Just got an email from Virtue Paintball telling me that they will have an A1 board out by the end of summer hopefully sooner. I wonder if it will be a microswitch or still use opto?

probaly micro but this is old to me. There is gonna be an lcd board on this it will be called the deluxe version. Also an 07 ego with lcd. The angel one board you don't really need to replace unless you want a micro switch.

Yea, it's gonna be really hard to top the stock board on the A1. A micro swith would provide an alternative for those not liking the opto.

Otherwise, unless they put a 1080p High definition OLED on the board, they've got a lot of work to do to top the stock board.

Also, will they offer downloads so that you can flash the board with the latest software right from your computer? I mean, once you change the stock board, you'll no longer be able to use WDP software for updates.

Anyway, can't wait to see what they'll be bringing out.

Some Things I'd like to see from Virtue:

Different Color Eyes
Different (possibly multicolor OLED/LCD screen)

Using the same Angel 1 grip OLED window for the LCD?

seems to be the case. from what I understand it will be offered with LED's as standard, and a "delux" version for some extra $$ w/the lcd

Keep in mind that the A1 has an OLED screen, which is better than an LCD screen and is not an LED screen. Someone brought this up a few threads ago.

So if Virtue is offering only an LCD screen, then it's not as good as an OLED screen on the A1.

Other than changing the opto switch to a micro switch; what is the benefit of a virtue board? Will it have a port for installing a Pulse RF chip or other feature? I love my A1 and the board has all the modes I would ever need and then some and enough customization ability to keep me happy.

It will proably be like every other virtue board. But i cant imagine that it will come close to the A! board. Virtue will deffinately not have the eye logic of the A1. It would be a downgrade for more than just the screen

yea as war lord said there will be a deluxe version and a regular one. I don't think it will be worth it. But it is opinion. I would keep the stock board though it seems like virtue will be a downgrade like war lord said.

Yea. It's not something that I'm terribly excited about. I will be keeping the stockboard too, at least for a good while unless I see some really outstanding reviews about the virtue board.

Be careful of reviews you read though. Some of these manufacturers tend to falsify reviews. I believe that virtue did this in the past on PBN and got banned. I can't remember the exact URL, but just do a google search.

Now that I have a pulse RF chip hooked up in my A1 (thanks Jake!) I can't imagine ever needing another board (unless the new board had a cloaking device to make me invisible on the paintball field or some other useful feature). Currently I just can't imagine it being better than the excellent one that the A1 came with.

Well, now you can play Halo 3 on that small 1080p OLED screen that Virtue is coming out with, and you can use that cloaking feature.

Hopefully the virtue board will have an HDMI connector instead of the USB on the stock angel board, then you can get true 1080p and enjoy your blue ray movies while playing paintball.
