Hey guys. I have made the proper adjustments to my A1 with all the new gen internals. The problem is that when I have the marker set to dwell 6.5, I can not chrono up to 280. I have to bump the dwell all the way up to 8 to chrono in at 270. Any thoughts?

Hey guys,
My problem is that I am not able to chrono in at 280 when I have the dwell set at 6.5. To get up to 270 I need to set the dwell at 8 or higher. I have all the new gen internals. Any thoughts or comments?

Thanks

1.Has it ever worked or has this just happened?
2.What is your tank pressure?
3.Have you switched tanks?

I asume you have set the exhaust pressure and lpr with gages?
Else, you do that first.

It has always happened. I have never switched tanks, the tank works fine on my other A1, I do have the Joy/Rage settings on both markers and I am sorry about the double posts. My comp froze while trying to post the first one and it did not show the post on the forum, so I posted again. Unfortunatly I am not able to erase the extra post.

I'm curious, does adjusting your mini-reg do anything? I would try increasing the mini-reg output before I increased the dwell. The Joy/Rage 270/57psi is for initial setup once those are set you can adjust the mini-reg output to get the proper FPS over the Chrono.

Oh yah, I have adjusted the mini reg all the way, until it will not increase in velocity. After that, I adjusted the dwell.

SO you've tried different tanks, adjusting the mini-reg, and you still have to run the dwell up to get it to chrono, man I'd be burning up Bob or Ken's phone-line or just saving some time and boxing it and sending it to them, something is seriously not right (sorry for stating the obvious) with your A1. Sorry but I think it's time to let the pro's have a shot at it.

We really did know all of your pressures to properly diagnose the problem.

Sounds to me like your LPR pressure may be a bit on the low side.
I would get the pressures tested just make sure the in line reg is set at 270 first then check on the LPR side and set that to just below 60psi.
