Hey guys, I ve been away from ballin' for a little while now, sold most of my angels on here. I have my Joy A1, and am getting ready to start playing again, now that my jetski is all ready to start racing. Are there any good upgrades to my Joy? My JD came with all the fixes,a nd im not intersted in a color kit. Im talking about a real improvement? boards, triggers, etc....

A1s are truly the marker that comes perfect in box. The only upgrades available aside from gen 2 parts (bolt, internals, detents, etc) are a new trigger (raguba is the only one who makes them as of now, but more are on the way), the A1 small bore barrel kit, a new ASA (if you don't like the dovetail), a CP reg adapter that's coming out soon (although there is controversy that it's better than the stock A1 adapter, but it does make your A1 HP tank-able), and a snatch grip made by someone I forgot (check ebay). Other than that, the board is self-upgradeable by plugging a USB into it, and there are no other upgrades that have come out. Just set your pressures using the pressure gauges you can buy from fixmyangel.com as well as the board settings using rage/joy settings found in stickies and you're set for your angel to kill. If you're looking for some aftermarket stuff, you can try stiffi for barrels. They have actual A1 threads which fit directly, and you don't need the beauty ring to cover up like for g7 threads. (Otherwise the small bore barrel kit will suffice).

I don't think there is any good reason to change the board, ever! WDP made an awesome board, and are offering software upgrades relatively frequently. Make sure you have the latest 2.2 software if your marker doesn't already have it.

At some point in time WDP/Ken/Bob is/are going to come out with a new 3 piece eye cover--an upgrade you should get.

CP is going to come out with a new reg also for the A1, at some point in time--not sure if it'll be worth it, but keep your eye out for it.

thanks guys... ive been shooting angels since back in the day when my team was sponsored by WDP with the great A4. I have a gen 2 2007 JD1, i already upped it to 2.2, and i am not happy with the optional barrel kit only in dust black, I have a gloss marker... no biggie, maybe a nice joystik is in order... anyway, my gripes are always the same, I like switches, and miss my g7flys tadao board... other than that this thing mows faces at the field... now to find a new team...
