Hi Chaps,

Got my Speed and I want to attach a SFD hose system to it rather than the standard macroline (SFD is the flexihose stuff with disconnects either end, suitable for use upto 8000psi!)

So, I need to remove the macroline connector on the bottom of the minireg. What's the best way of doing this? I've removed the rubber shroud and the macroline connector is fitted in place with some sort of thread lock (white colour - loctite?).

I have thought about just getting a monkey wrench on it and trying to break the seal but I wanted to know if there is an easier, more appropriate way?

Thanks in advance - Ben

Monkey wrench that fits snugly as to not strip it or round the edges. It's teflon tape what you see in white. Enjoy your new SPEED and give us a review when you have the time.
Cheerio.

NO!!!! you need an alan wrench up the hole the whole the macroline goes into. that is how those are unscrewed. don't messs it up with a clamping wrench

He can do it either way. Hes getting rid of it for a steel line.

there is a hex hole in the fitting so you can take it out that way I also needed a wrench to hold the mini reg as I turned the fitting.

Well, actually used a 'baby boa' rubber strip wrench, wrapped that around the mini reg and used clamping pliers around the steel fitting - job done.

Now have the flexihose on and gassed up.

Will be using the speed in a tournie Sunday and will post detailed review soon after...
