Hey guys, I am curious to what paint you guys are shooting through your A1s

Myself I am shooting Marbilizers, straightest ball I have shot so far. At first when I was having problems it would break them religiously... Now it loves them.

Wondering what paint type setting you guys are using to.

MOB shoots Nelson Paintballs.

Nelson Anarchy is our tournament grade paint and shoots straight, breaks easy, and wipes like toothpaste. It is a warm weather paint for use only above 45 degrees outside. Orange fill.

Nelson Special Forces is our choice for colder weather tournaments. Breaks just like Anarchy, but holds up in the cold and rain. Blue fill. No orange fill available in this grade.

We practice with Nelson EKG which has a detergent in it for easy clean up on bunkers. We like the EKG since we have to clean the bunkers for our home field. Our other practice paint is Nelson Precision.

We use .688 barrel backs and paint settings of 4 in cold weather and up to 12 in warm weather.

I;ve shot x-ball gold, Bronze, Zap chronic, Pevs, Nelson Anarchy, Marballizer among others. I like all of them.

If I had to pick my favorite it would be Zap Chronic because this turns to wax upon impact. My second would be nelson anarchy--thick fill. I think marballizer is overrated--fill not as thick as nelson anarchy and defenitely not as thick as zap chronic.

Xball gold, zap chronic and Nelson anarchy are heavier balls than regular paintballs. This is what makes them good. There was an article somewhere about heavier balls being better, can't remember where though. I'll post it if I see it.

In my experience, they go straighter, fly a bit further, and are not as volunerable to wind resistance and other lighter balls.

Too bad my local pb store doesn't carry chronic. I have to order them online.

I have shot PMI Premium, Marbalizer, Rampage, DXS Hellfire, Xball bronze and silver, Karnage Rip and Tear, WPN Toxic, Evil, Empire Ramp, Voodoo, Zap Chronic and Cryptic, and many others that I do not remember. Only problem I had was last weekend with Premium at 42 degrees outside, which is supposed to be stored above 59 degrees. I beleive my problems were caused from my loader crushing balls in the stack and popping balls in the hopper.

I can't believe no one has said Evil!

Evil is not compatable with Angel.
Angel = good, and since good and evil don't mix, no one uses evil.

For you fellow math nerds, that's: (man, I hope the symbols show up)

Angel = Good
Good ≠ Evil
∴ Angel ≠ Evil

... or maybe I should set up a logic table...

theologically speaking some Angels are evil....Satan for one....and the 1/3 that followed him

I shot some Pro Marbalizers (I think that's the name) for the first time this weekend.....WAY too brittle. §§§§ kept breaking in the barrel. Not again.....I'm going back to shooting evil like I used to.

My team shoot's Dynasty Dragon with the A1 and it seems to smash it alot, unless we warm it up.
When its warm its awesome and it still brakes on most...

If I ever hear of people breaking paint there is normally a good reason why.
First I would look to see if you have a problem with your loader as this is the most likly. In my experience the VLocity is the best on paint and the Sound activated Reloaders the worst.
Then check the detents make sure these are both there and are not damaged, if they are replace them.
Next look at the settings that you have in particular the paint type or loader speed setting depending on what version you have. If this setting is too high then you will be allowing the bolt to clip ball before it is fully chambered.
Then take a look at what barrel you are using, is it too tight, you may want to go atleast 1 size bigger.
Finally take a look at what pressure your gun is operating at, is the LPR too high?

If you are breaking or chopping then I would look at the all of the above things as chances are you have a problem with one of them.

I personnally like all DXS Paintballs. I used hellfire at a tournament, and wow you could see a bright orange stream.. dont want to be on the end of an Angel 1's barrel when thats happening.

Severe, cyclone, and xball bronze usually. I've never had a problem with any paint in my A1, but this is what my team shoots. Some of the paint I've used is from last season without a break. All my previous Angels have been good with most paint. The only time I had a problem was using a Reloader B with my 05 Speed. Once I went to a Halo my problems went away.

I shoot nel-splat quite a bit. Works great for how inexpensive it is. Local fields sell it for about 40 a case. Got a bad case a little while back where they balls were football shaped and I got tons of barrel breaks (didn't have my 693 or 695 barrels with me). Other than that I've been very happy.

I love marbs but they are tough to find around my neck of the woods. They've been one of my favorites since the late 90's.
