If my asa, lets say happened to bend when I dove into the snake to make a fill from a corner, causing it bend and nearly snap off, is this covered in warranty, or not. I know they sell them seperately though.

Wow, that's a hard dive. It guess it depends on how you describe it to them and what actually happened. If it was due to negligence, then probably not. Best thing to do is to run it by WDP and see what they say. The ASA is not exactly a wareable part, so if something should happen to it within the warranty period, they may replace it, but given the fact that you took a dive with it, not sure....

Are you kidding me? Why would a company not cover that under warranty? Diving is part of the sport. You can't make a product for paintball, but then not cover it under warranty when you happen to dive.

Driving is what you do with a car, but if i drive too fast and slam into a tree is that covered under warranty? How about slamming my marker into a tree while running? Is that covered under warranty since running is a part of the sport?
With that said, call em up, they have great customer service and just might replace it for free.

im sure they would. i had a similar experience, dived to snake, broke the tank and asa off of the integrated rail, which left the rail (and thus the frame) broken. spoke to wdp, and they said they would replace the frame, they are just taking their time over it.

What a great analogy. We aren't talking about running into trees. We are talking about diving on turf, into bunkers...filled...with air....
If something on the gun breaks during that...it should be covered under warranty.

How is that different that running, slamming the gun into a tree on accident, and it breaking? WDP sponsors woodsball teams and running in the forest is just as valid as diving on a speedball field. So apparently no matter how poorly i treat my A1 as long as I did it on the paintball field during the course of a game its covered? Bottomline its not a warranty agaisnt stupidity, its a warranty for manufacturing flaws and diving wrong, landing on your ASA, and having it break does not scream manufacturing flaw to me...

WDP has great customer service, i am getting a new noid and ram for my a1 and all i had to do was talk to frazer about my problems i am having.
Well when my ASA hold-in screw broke, and I had to get my entire frame and ASA replaced cause there was too much stress causing the ASA and frame to bend a little down there, WDP didn't give me §§§§. I had to pay fixmyangel $80 to get it all replaced...

Your situation is far from unique and a known issue with the marker. One suggestion, which is what most of our team did, is to replace with a CP ASA. Never had a problem with one sense then - good luck.

I had the same thing happen to me and I had to pay to have it fixed. And no, I did not have it adjusted improperly.
