Hey all
so I recently I have been out of the sport, mainly for work reasons.

anyways....... now that im back in, I have been considering the JoyA1.
My only problem is that, back when I stoped playing (a4 fly era) angels were seen as un reliable guns.

Has WDP improved on this?
is the Joy comparible performance wise to the ego 07, dm7? ( i know they are totally diff guns, but is it superior or inferior in quality)

also this may also be a dumb question but is WDP releasing a new marking soon? I have noticed prices falling preatty fast lately in retail stores.

thanks

Angels have never been any less reliable than any other high end out there. Most guns are either poppet or spool valve designs and although they may lay things out, 3 short tubes of an Angel vs 2 long tubes of an ego, basically all the same parts are there and have just as much chance of breaking down.

For comparability to other high ends, shoot them and choose which one you think shoots and feels best, of all 3 I still choose my angel due to mainly feel as they all basically shot about the same.

Is angel coming out with a new gun, none that have been announced and there doesnt appear to be a fly version coming either, atleast thats what the rumors say. The price drop was the first drop and was really only 200 bucks since the gun has been on the market for almost a year now.

I don't recall any problems with the A4 Fly. Mine had 0 problems and I never noticed any more problem threads when it came out. There were a higher number of problems when the A1 came out but those have all been resolved now. My A1 works like a dream....like every other Angel I have owned.

Also....the Joy as still just an A1 with cosmetic differences. I have never used an Ego or DM so I cannot comment.

I've used an IR3, A4 Fly'd, A1, 06 Ego, DMC, Karni, and an 03 Alias Intimidator comparison between all of those as follows:

Similarities:
1) If you don't take care of any of them they will break down.
2) There is sucha a thing as overly taking care of a marker.
3) During the summer season and warm weather they all perform rather flawlessly.

Differences:
1) From my experience I get better efficiency with the (IR3 ~ A1) > (Ego ~ Karni ~ Timmy ) < DMC.
2) COPS on IR3 and the Sensi on the A4 are not as reliable as having eyes.
3) If you chop a ball in the breach of all of them except for the DMC its easy to take the bolt out and clean it off.
4) Easy to fix a forward stuck bolt with an Ego, Karni (AC), and Timmy. (With the angel you need to jam a swab to push the bolt back, which is not that big a deal since you can then just open up the breach afterwards.
5) Physically all are moderate weighed. Except for the IR3.
6) I like the 90* frame but depending on how you play / walk the trigger / hold the gun.
7) Taking care of the angel is much like taking care of the karni and ego, couple drops of angel grease and your golden.
8) Not too many people know how to take care of an angel / fix it. (opinion based on experiences with fields)
9) Angels seem to do a lot better in cold weather than most markers.

my .005 cents.

I strongly agree with that.

Not every tech knows a great deal about angels. That's something to be weary of. Be careful who you hand your angel to for servicing.

If/when mine needs servicing, I'm sending it in straight to bob or ken or someone who is a certified WDP Master tech; won't trust it with my local pb store. I love my local pb store, but not with my precious A1.

+1 on that..........
