All,

My 14 year old son wants to save up and buy a used Angel. He will be able to spend between 600 and 800 for the marker; he has an air system already.

I don't know anything about Angels, and figured you could give me some advice to pass along.

Finally, he has a 68/3000 Pure Energy tank. Is that adequate for an Angel?

Thanks!

Your sons air tanks should be more than adequate for an Angel. If he plans to have between 6 and 8 hundered he will be more than able to find a good Angel. You will probably find some well taken care of LED's, and more than a few LCDs towards the high end. There seems to be quite a few people attempting to get rid of LCD's in an attempt to get the new IR3's that are available. Some of them will be in good condition some not. Check out the classifieds section here, and you can see some of the Angels that AOG members are trying to sell. With most of these guns the only reason someone is selling them is that they got an IR3. Best of luck..

Yea Jason is correct, do a 3rd party. I got screwed over once by not doing that on e-bay but Ohhh well.

Take into account not only the markers cost, but barrels, loader and other gear he will need. Good luck!

Where is a good resource to learn the differences between the different models (LED, LCD and IR3)? I don't have an angel, and have no ideas where to look.

Thanks for the 3rd party info.

Fat Man...this website right here...there are the different sections talking about each, and they all have pictures of different members markers...remember if you've got a question about a marker ask the user...most players are more than happy to let you see all the bells and whistles that they have...Angel users are more likely than most because we're all so proud of our Angels...
