Install Problems!!!!!!

I followed the steps for installing the drives and software, but after I hook up the USB cable to the computer then the gun, nothing happens!! I have tried two different cables still same thing. The first time I hook it up it says new hardware found, but will not start wizard. Need help please!!!!

It doesn't always start the wizard when you plug the gun in the first time; mine didn't on either computer; a box just popped up in the lower right saying 'Your new hardware is ready to use', or something to that effect. I unplugged the marker, finished the setup, and installed the software (on two markers) with no problems

So just continue without doing the wizard setup part?

You install everything still, but when you first plug the marker into your comp, it should recognize the drivers. The section in the install guide about finding the drivers is a 'just in case' thing, if it doesn't recognize the marker

Ok, now I went to setup the Series 1 Flash and it is asking me to insert a disk!!! What now?

Ok, so, just to clairify;

You ran CP210x_VCP_Win2K_XP.exe and went through the installer
You ran PreInstaller.exe for the SiLabs folder
You plugged in the USB to the computer, then turned on the A1, then plugged the A1 to the USB cable; in the bottom right a box came up that says your new hardware is ready to use
You unplugged the A1
You ran the setup.exe in the Series 1 Flash folder, and you're getting an error?

Their is a thread already to install the software properly. Do a search and it will pop up
