IR3 mixed with speed idea

What if someone took there IR3 frame and put it on a speed. First of all is that possible and if it is then they could have a Speed with an LCD and all the computer stuff. The best of both worlds! (except the externally adjustable trigger) Unless.... you used capnuts idea and make the externally adjust able trigger yourself buy tapping holes!

You wouldn't need to replace the frame, just the board. The Space Frame is used on both markers, so all you'd need to do is put an IR3 board in the Speed's space frame. I have no idea if this would work, and since they charge you $250 for an IR3 board, that would be quite an expensive little upgrade.

Yeah it would be spendy.. But cheaper than an IR3!!!!! and what about the infared??

Aren't the dwell functions varied between the Speed and IR3??? not sure but I thought they were different

Yeah, the dwell is reduced in the Speed, not sure if that would cause problems (not sure if the dwell on the IR3 board can be reduced enough to work).

Wouldn't be any cheaper than an IR3, in fact, it'd be a little more expensive. It'd be $1000 for the speed, plus $250 for the board. You can buy a stock IR3 for $995 at paintballgear.com, a CnC for $1250, so it certainly would not be cheaper.

Oh well i was thinking like a C&C and since i pre ordered my speed right away i got it for the earlybird price of 900.

The speed only went up $50. No biggy, it will go back down to $900 in a few weeks prolly.

Well im in highschool so 50 bucks is a biggy. I mean that could be a day at the field.

If you dont care then give me 50 bucks. I spent 30 of that 50 on a wall charger and the other 20 on metric axels. So those were basically free. I mean why spend 50 when you dont have to.Oh well, It doesnt matter. Lets stop arguing now. This is pointless. 50 bucks may be worth more to one person than someone else.

let me pull this closer to the topic at the top....I'm not so sure that just adding the LCD is going to work for 3 reasons yep that magical number
1. how many people have the speed to find out if the connectors even fit
2. If it fits then your sensi won't work because IR3's have cops from my knowledge its not totally different but it has been revised
3.Why do you need an LCD all it does it drain battery power if the LED's have all necessary info and some of the IR3 features won't work then it is pointless to add the board
