I Know that no one has really released any aftermarket board for the A1 yet, but I was wondering if anyone has tried putting a Angry Tadao, Virtue, or Predator Board in an A1. Those boards all run off a 9volt battery, and I'm not sure how the trigger/Micro switch works between them. Anyone know if they would work?

You could solder a micro switch to your A1 board. Someone did it over on PBN

Haha. Should buy an opti switch if you are used to micro. Thats unless you got a new WDP sponsorship. I like the opti 10 times more.

Oh I perfer the Opto switch over the micro swith too, but my question isn't weither a micro switch can be put on a A1 board, but rather if an aftermarket board can be put in the A1?

To anwser your question.....here is an email i got back from virtue on that same question.

"A board for the Angel 1 will be out late spring early summer. It will feature all the same modes and settings every Virtue board offers.
thanks,"
Jason"

the stock board is perfect dont see why you need to change anything though. The only reason i emailed them was cause we have customers wondering the same question and all. But once we let them shoot ours the love them. So save yourself $150 bucks and run stock. The A1 out of the box is a fantastic marker. No upgrades needed, in my opinon.

I think Hater is going to have a board, but I'm not sure on it.

Yeah I agree what more could you ask for on a board? BPS counter is the only thing I can think of.

I kinda like the micro-switch feel. the little resistance is reassuring for me. just to used to my Tadao board I guess.

all the things said above can easily be added to future updates for the stock board and its for free.

I dont see any reason to fork out 150 for something that you can get for free.

I personally prefer optical switches, but some people prefer the micro. I believe the 07 Ego has both to please everyone.

Also, I'm perfectly happy with the stock A1 board, but some people like the additional modes and tweaking offered in aftermarket boards. Some people just aren't happy unless they can adjust their BPS to 0.1 of a ball.

Yes they "can", but will they?

I would like to see a PC software released similar to the old Sexy Angel software where we could tweak our software settings and displays via the computer and USB cable.

I've got to imagine if Virtue is creating an aftermarket board for the A1 its going to be considerably more than $150.00. Putting that OLED display on it I would assume is going to jack the price up.

Of course I am new and this is my first post so I could be completely off in left field.

The biggest thing that made me ask this question is, I've read countless accounts, and have heard numerious people complain about the quality of the PSP ramping modes on the Stock A1. Now then I currently am shooting a Dark G7 Angel w/ the Angel Force Tadao board in it. I love the PSP mode on it, and any other Ramping modes too. I plan to buy a new A1 in the near future, and planning to attend a PSP event. I already know I can't "swap" my Tadao board into the A1 due to the fact my Tadao board runs on the Rechargeable battery in my gun, and the A1's run off an 9volt. And I can't just simply use my G7 for the PSP, due to other reasons. So I was just wondering what aftermarket boards would work. I think if Virtue is coming out with one for the A1, then I probably will go that route. Yeah the stock board does seem fine, but I'm more concerned about the performance of the gun then weither it tells me my name when I turn it on.

Virtue would not include the OLED display. I'm sure it would be straight up LED, like all of their boards.

i use my PSP mode in the stock board, and it looks to work very good. Try upgrading to the new 2.2. maybe this can fix your problems. I has used anothers hi end markers in PSP mode, and i dont see any difference.

^^^ same here.

Oh and yeah Virtue would probably just place their LED lights so they could be seen through the OLED window in the grip. And I'd be surprised if they come out with a $150 board that uses the blackberry style controller.

That would make complete sense then. I don't know if I would want a board for an A1 if it didn't have the OLED display (then again that's just me). That and you couldn't get me to buy Virtue products anymore.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Before you write off the A1's modes you should actually try them. The A1 is written to the exact PSP specifications and works great. After finding out that many of the aftermarked boards do not follow the rules I make it a point to pick out 2-3 guys from each team and get them to shoot for me when i ref PSP events.
