View Full Version : A1 Battery Voltage? How low can it go?

My A1 has been trouble free since I got it and it has over 20K shots on it now. Today I was playing and mid game during the last game of the session without any warning all of the sudden the gun would only fire once for every 4-5 trigger pulls while walking the trigger. After about 30 seconds the ram/bolt stayed in the forward position and the gun had a minor leak coming from the breech area. After the game I realized that my battery indicator was pretty low and checked the battery voltage and it was down to 6.4 volts.

After replacing the battery and pushing the bolt back, I emptied a hopper in the chrono area without any problems. I didn't get to play any more, but I was just wondering if the problems I described are symptoms of a low battery.

Does anyone know the minimum battery voltage required for the A1 solenoid to operate under pressure?

I don't know the minimum battery voltage needed. But if that cured your problem you should probably watch that. I replace my battery every day I play and have yet to have problems as far as that goes.

BoB posted on here somewhere the actual minimum voltage the Angel One needs to work properly. If I recall correctly, it was around the 6.4v reading but I am not certain. I bet a search will turn up his post.

I had a lithium battery that I put in at 6.4 volts. I got maybe a couple hundred shots before the gun beeped and turned off. It was around 5.8 - 5.6 V.

Frasier said it would work down to 5.2v. I'm not going to test it though.
