Using A1 barrel kit on G7 Fly threaded Angels

Since it looks like I might never get that Lucky barrel kit I wanted, I am looking into other barrel options. We know you can use G7 Fly threaded barrels on A1s, but some threads might show so WDP includes the beauty ring with the A1.

Now the question is:
“Can you use A1 barrels on a G7 Fly threaded Angel?”

It might work, or the barrel might bottom out against the front of the gun before the bore is far enough back in the breech.

Does anyone know? Can anyone check this?

If no one does it first, I can take pics for you when I get home tonight on what it looks like on the inside of the breech on my G7 Fly and on the outside.

It does not work correctly. There is an approximate 1/4" gap left from where the barrel ends to where the breech begins.

i have a stock barrell i can trash to cut some rings. anyone want to try it? i just need a thickness to cut.

I don't have an A1 barrel set to try it with yet though. I could try and come up with one to test, but maybe I should let somebody else try who could give us answers sooner.

ill send you one too boost. pm me your addy. i have a lathe at work and the boss was gone today so i turned a few out. i still have stock left from the speed barrell i used to make them with. so if they work then i will turn the rest of the stock.

What are you thinking crownsk8er? A1 barrel spacers made out of an alternative material? ;)

that would actually be better out of nylon. i just dont have any nylon stock and i had an "old" (new never used) 5peed barrell. so i cut it and put it on the lathe. :again: god it would have been so much quicker out of nylon though.......... and since you obviously still have some stock left (cough..cough) maybe i could get a g7 hammer? or 2? :cheers:
