How often are you guys having to replace your EV on the A1? They seem to come apart (2 pieces) after 7000 shots or so on my gun. Broke another today right after I loaded 2.2.
Thanks,

7000 sounds very short. I must be up to 50 000 on my gun by now if not more with no wear so far that I can see. Are you using the new style valve stems or the old? The old broke too fast sometimes, this is the reason it was updated with a new version.
Check if your valve stem is not inserted in the centered recess in the plug. If it's bent to one side it will affect lifespan of both valve stem and valve body.

Is it possible to install the plug without having the valve stem centered in the hole? I'm always careful about making sure my stem is in the hold, but it's hard to tell sometimes.

It is hard to tell if it is centered. I always pull the plug back out and make sure it is still sitting in the center. They were the newer valves from FMA.

Yeah, that's what I do too... thread the plug in a few turns and then take it back out to make sure the stem is centerd.
LOL, but then I get paranoid that it moved when I put it in for the final time.
Thanks though... good tip.
