I was at a scenario game the other day and the conditions were just yicky. Super tiny paint(.685 maybe), brittle, dimpled, and it was raining.
Needless to say, not even my A1 could overcome these problems. I had paint breaking everywhere: hopper, feedneck, breach, barrel
It's a mess, can anyone offer me cleanup advice and ways to help avoid this in the future?
Also, my settings are the Joy settings on the WDP site.

Squeegee out your breech, barrel, and feedneck (may want to take feedneck apart to, don't really know how bad it is) and clean your bolt out. Oil your gun. Take your hopper apart and soak the shell in water. wipe internals off. Clean the body off with water on a small cloth.
As far as avoiding you may not want to use such small bore paint and if you see it getting that bad just stop, and take a second to asses the problem. It could have been as easy as bad batteries in the hopper.

I had a similar problem at a scenario game i went to this weekend (Skirmish in PA). 30 degree weather and crappy paint lead to an awful start. I popped a ball in the hopper and at that point I was shooting yogurt. No one on the field was able to use the paint that was provided, luckily enough they had two types of paint and the second paint worked fine. But before I could shoot I had to clean my gun out on the field which wasn't easy to do in this cold weather. I wiped off the bolt, tried to clean the eyes, feedneck and barrels. I must have gotten so much paint in the eyes that they werent working for the rest of the day, had to turn them off during play. Also, my gun "froze" up, couldn't get any shots off at all. An angel tech mentioned that my reg probably had too much lube and was stopping the air.
Anyway, I got home and took the entire gun apart by reading the manual, cleaned out the eyes with swabs, re-lubed the internals (reg, LPR, hammer, etc) with angel grease, few drops of love juice in the asa and all was good again. Everything seems to be working fine.
Anyone's gun also "freeze" up in cold weather? I'm hoping that wiping off all of the old grease and re-lubing with the angel extreme grease will help out in cold weather.

Stalingrad! I was at the same game Scarface, it was definitely a mess, lol
I didn't have the problem of my angel 'freezing' tho, or my eyes becomming completely blocked. I'm definitely thankful for that

Blaze, what bore size were you using? I was using my 691 / 692 can't remember which one it was. Overall the game wasn't too bad, my buddies and I were all in SWAT gear playing on the german side.

I was using the smallest back that came with it,.691 i think, and my paint was soooooo small
I was also playing German, gotta love our victory :)

first of all, buy the A1 barrel expansion kit. It comes with a .695 to accomodate the small paint.

The paint at Stalingrad was horrible, and yes the victory was sweet. I look forward to leading you to another win this summer at ION.
I also had a freezing problem with one of my A1's, so I put it away and took out my Ice white one. It worked flawlessly, all my breaks were in the barrel thank god, so it wasn't too bad to clean up. As far as the marker that froze, I am taking it in to Impact to be looked at this weekend by Mark, as it completely froze and thew velocity was all over the place the one time I got it to fire, possibly a lpr problem?

When you get an answer let me know what the problem is, as mentioned in another thread I had the same issue with my A1 and it's killing me that my teammates with the DM6's were ripping all day with no issues (of course using the blaze paint). Thanks.
