Okay, I know that there are a ton of threads about the new Speed marker. This thread only mentions it because I am looking to but one, and as I would do for any marker that i would buy, I am looking to get the best warranty. I have seen the word "Warranty" in huge letters on almost any site that sells wdp, so here is the question---"what is included with all the sponsors warranties?" I have seen that some offer tune-ups and stuff, but if the guys at those sites could give a clear explanation of their stores warranty in this thread it would make it much easier to compare (ie. how many tune ups a year, who pays shipping, ect.). Also, anyone who has purchased guns from these sites, feel free to post your experiences in the warranty department. Thanks all!

http://www.wdpservice.com/index2.php?x=warranty

For your convenience, Wdpservice.com has 5 locations throughout the United States. If you purchase a gun from one of our wdpservice locations, it will come with the 6-month warranty from WDP, in addition you will receive the wdpservice lifetime warranty. The wdpservice warranty covers the same as the WDP warranty, in addition you will receive free labor for the life of the original owner, parts and shipping additional.

Check out the link provided for more info. And yes, I do buy from them all the time. Yes, I did before being a mod here. No, my opinions are not biased. It's my hard earned cash, nobody elses.

okay, so in looking at that, it seems that they give you one free "platinum" tune up every year, and free "silver" tune ups whenever needed. Sounds good, now what have the rest of you got to offer? lol
btw, does mos do service through wdp service, meaning mo's warranty is the same?

Well I am a warped guy so I would say, "Wait and buy a Dark Speed. Unlimited tuneups."

well, wdp service also gives unlimited tune us, and do you know how many I could pay for with the extra $500 it will cost to buy a dark? Not that I don't like dark, just saying that they are really good at taking an affordable gun (cough 2003 lcd cough cough) and putting th price through the roof. It appears that the base model on the speed is already quite pimped out, and I pesonally think the milling is pretty sexy, so I'll stick with the base. Now, enough side tracking. lol. Back to the warrnaty info.

They haven't even released what they are doing to it yet. And to the 2k3's they tacked on their waranty.

yes, jedrith, I know they tacked on their warranty (exactly the same as the wdp service warranty listed above), and they have said what they are doing to it, I saw pics in a magazine. There was no milling change that was noticeable, all they did was a faded anno. Not to mention, I believe Carles said it in another post, Rocky used to be their tech, and he is not with them anymore. So who is their new master tech, and who is working on your gun?

Exactly. Now all Warped warranty is done in Nebraska and by who? I don't know.

not sure who does your gun if it goes to Nebraska, however I do know that (and you can find this out by reading their site) WS Mississippi is their other tech service point, and I know the guy who works on your marker if you sent it there. Personally Gerwin is a great guy, and they really do a good job on your marker.

Now as for Warranties.....well Warped's warranty is the standard WDP warranty plus free lifetime labor anytime you send your marker in. You can send it in a couple of times a year, and it doesn't cost you anything but the shipping/insurance
