As the title says, I need a slightly longer set screw for the back travel of the trigger. After playing around with the trigger several times a week to get the right feel for it, i found that the back travel is a little too close to the frame for my taste. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

if your talking about activation point being too close, you can 'bend' the metal flag or use duct tape to extend the flag tip(someone posted pics of this mod here). I bent the metal flag on mine to set the trigger farther out from the frame & get the activation point that i liked.

You could bend the metal flag for the activation point and then that screw is no longer needed, so you could use that one for where your talking about as it is twise as long and would suit the purpose.

What do you mean by "loose"? Are you saying that it pulls too easily?

I took the activation screw from an A4 slayer trigger and its working sweet.

Fantom, if you look at the screws above your trigger you'll see 2 that's on the trigger and 1 that's on the frame. in order from the frame to the trigger its
Back Travel adjust screw, Trigger pull strength screw, and Forward travel screw.
Since the A1 trigger is heavy you'll have to find the right point where the magnet has the most attraction on the initial pull, and where the back magnet has the most repel force. If you set too much forward and back travel, the trigger pull will be really light. Another thing you could do is if you can find the disks that go on a Kila Detent, glue 1 or 2 disks to the front magnet or to the rear magnet.
