Look at the slide being displayed. Near the bottom of the grip you can see a rectangle with the Angel logo on it? I noticed on my A1's grip that in that very same spot you can see a similar rectangle that appears that it was removed and then filled back in with a blank piece of rubber.

Does anyone know what was originally supposed to be there? Maybe that was the planned location for the OLED screen?

EDIT: I meant that I can see it on the inside of the grip when it's removed... it's totally normal on the outside.

My panels have the Angel symbol cast into the panel molding there. And it looks smooth on the inside of the panel. I just got my A1 last month so it might have been a change late in the model year.:notsure:

I agree with Baja, i have an early A1 and my grips have this rectangle mark in the back of my grips.
It looks the same size as the oled screen.

That slide is a solidworks file. It is a software model and not the finished product you are looking at. It could be an artifact of an edit to the file or it is distributed that way so that you can't use the file to run it through machining software. I use this stuff on a daily basis so it is not uncommon to see it. In a way it protects you against pirating your designs.

Yeah I have two A1's (kind of... one has pretty much been taken over by my cousin). One of them is a few months old and came with all the original internals and the other one is about a month old and came with all the newer internal parts, but they both have the same rectangle on the inside of the grip. I'd bet money that was going to be the original placement for the OLED screen... I'm glad they moved it.
