hey, I'm going to get a speed 05 soon. I'm not sure what to get in terms of N2 tanks, and hoppers. I need a n2 tank but i dont want to spend too much. Is it bad to get a cheep one? What should i look for when getting one? Wtf is hydro? I find some on ebay that are 50-60$ but im not sure if those are good or not. I'm also looking for hoppers, what is a good one to get under 75$? all info is welcome. Thanks a lot

most cheap tanks that you find on ebay are really heavy but they are still good.
a hydo is a hydrotest that air tanks need every few years to see if they are in good enough shape to be safely used.
a good cheap hopper would bee an egg 3 or an egg2 with a zboard they are the same

hydro is the process of testing a tank to make sure its safe to hold the pressure that the tank is suppose to hold. a tank is tested and then labled for a set number of years for how long a tank should be safe to use under normal conditions. most tanks are 3 or 5 years. as far as what tank to get its more personal prefferance. just remember that fiber wrapped is better than steel and you get what you pay for. an air tank is one area where you should not try to be too cheap. id recommend a 68/4500 low pressure crossfire for your 05 speed. as far as a hopper you can get a used halo for 75 here on the forums.

are the halos better than the egg 3's with a zboard? at my local paintball store halo's are $65. Are all halos the same? Thanks

Stock Halo will be fine to start. You can always improve here and there later on with the loader. Tanks are different though. Ebay is a crap shoot. Fiber wrapped is the better of choices. LP with a good reg on it is money well spent. You starve the marker and you in for a bad day. A Crossfire setup is your best bet. Do a search on AOG for tank/reg combos and read up. Tons of info on here if you do a little digging.

Tanks are not a good place to save money, cheap tanks are usually heavy steel tanks that don't have as nice a reg as say a CP fiber wrap tank and good quality reg. You can pick them up used around $100 - $150 depending on the hydro date, (which is the date the tank was last tested to make sure it was still safe to use)
You can pick up a good used Halo or Halo B hopper here or on another site for $60 to $75 and you can always upgrade the hopper later if you need to, spend your big money on getting a good LP tank and reg.
Just my 2 cents worth anyway
