Can someone explain the purpose/need for intellifeed...i'm not sure exatly what it is. Is this someone's idea that has become a trend or is it factory? ANd what is the best loader for an IR3 Angel?
intellifeed- an intellifed angel can have a wire from it connected to a 9-12 v hopper that will make the blades rotate every time it goes past 2bps or something this means it is fed better for the angel markers plus you dont spend loads for 9v batterys.
You need the kit for the angel to do this on. ( ir3s have it stock)
Best loader for ir3 at the moment is evo2 if you get a good tough de-dent for the ir3 like cobra de struct and lube the halo b belts you might get past the force feeding problem. imo i prefer the 12v with the new boards like re-loader and x-board or the inteli feed im front so i dont need to be pulling over 13 bps anyway.
rico will have a new loader called the g-force.

i disagree with that evo2 comment. if you like to rip off long strings or even short burst .. a halob w/ the TE update is bar none the BEST.
since i picked up my ir3 i've yet to have a day w/ no chops. halob pre-te forcefed constantly and caused ridiculous blending .. and the evo2 just cant keep up. since i got my halob back with TE update i've yet to chop. i've only put through about a case so far .. but i dont see the current trend taking a turn for the worst.
it's all smiles and giggles now.

jasyn.......you're smoking something wacky....I've been using the Evo2 for more than a few months, and it keeps up with my IR3 remarkebly well.....and you've seen my setup

emmit. yawp.
and you put down a good stream with my gun today and can def vouch for the halob te update.
i bought 3 different detents trying to solve the halob forcefeed issue. one of them did better than the rest but would still let balls past. frustrating is an understatement. i then went with an eggo2. that was definitly better but i would still chop a few times during the day. =/ i havent changed a thing on my ir3 since putting the halob on this weekend and no chops. 2 whole days and chop free!! that's as close to a "controlled environment" as you can get with these things.
i also have cops1 and never use it .. while you have cops2 and do use it. i would assume that's a definite factor for your chop free-ness no?
oh .. i got lit up after you left. i bunkered 2 guys and they freaked out. there's a line of 6 breaks running up my left arm... from ~3feet away. def not pretty. hehe

where are you guys setting your MROF? you say its keeping up but what is the MROF set to? with mine set to 20, my egg2 doesn't keep up, even with the new Y-board.

my mrof is @ 18. it'll be a while before i hit that so it's fine for me.
i unloaded 2 full hoppers by walking the trigger. i did not pause or wait whatsoever... except to load up again. afterwards my ir3 spit out "15bps not bad ..." or something like that.
this is the halob with the te update. before the te update the 'b was unusable. it would forcefeed like mad.
there's no way i can walk with my egg2 ... i tried the first time i popped it on and started blending. works perfectly for my cocker though.

with my MROF set to 17 I can walk with the egg2, and it tells me 14bps.
Hey, what kind of batteries are you using in the Halo?
jasyn

just your standard run of the mill duracells.
man ... there is NO way i can walk with my egg2. it's strange how wildly inconsistent everyone's experiences are. :lost:

Well I tried walking it set at 18bps and no go, but it will do it at 17 bps.
I'm sure the type of paint you use will make a slight difference in the ability of the loader to feed. I noticed once that I could use MROF of 17 with rec sport, but when I used point blank I had to drop to 14.
Also, different types of batteries seem to put out different amounts of actual power. I've been told from a good friend with a HALO on an IR3 that using Kodak batteries produce too much torque on the halo, but using HEAVY DUTY batteries (they have a lower amp rating) actually allows the halo to function properly. I'm wondering if there is a better battery combination for the egg2.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.....the best batteries I've found for the Evo2 to date are the Energizer Titanium e^2.....they are a little pricey, but they are well worth it. I just bought 2 yesterday to put in my Evo2 for my tourney the 27th. I've used Duracells, and regular Energizers and even generic batteries and they do not give nearly the spin that these Titamiums do.....best batteries out there IMO especially for the Evo2

does your friend have the updated b? the update is suppose to apply less torque through the spinner thereby reducing the chances of forcefeeds.

not yet. He has been communicating with them for a long time on this issue, and I think he may be the main reason they are doing this update. He has sent it in but hasn't received it yet.
He was debating on whether or not to do it, because it actually slows the loader down some, but decided that slower is better than having to replace the batteries every times he plays (those HD batteries only last 2 weekends he says)

the new software doesnt pause the cone every ~1.5 turns anymore and should more than negate any speed differences.
it's all good.

as long as it works!! I'm thinking I may end up with a halo eventually, even If I have to mill extra ball detents. chopping really just ruins the game for me, I may as well be using a pirhana once my gun chops!

i agree with what emmit said, once you pop the energizer titanium batteries in your egg, you won't believe how much faster it spins, and they are pricey but last longer as well, and for halos, use lithium photo batteries, they take 3 ounces off and are a better power source and last much longer.

TE is the new version of the Halo B, you gotta send your Halo to Odyssey to get it done

Emmit you remember the cost on those? I got a line on some through work and was wondering if its worth the hastle. these are the Titanium Lithium ones not like the same Titaniums I see all the time at Wallmart.

holy crap this is old!
hep, you might want to take a look here (http://www.northarc.com/~tinker/batteries.html)
I know the different characteristics of batteries, I was asking how much he paid for them.

in that case there like $4 at kmart, so i'm sure you could get the same thing for a lot cheaper.

The Lithiums are real expensive, I know that I got a box of them at Sam's for a decent price, but I wouldn't have bought them elsewhere.
The Titanium E^2 that I was talking about are great, and I've picked them up at Office Depot and a couple of other places, but they are more expensive than a standard Energizer battery for sure. Exact numbers I can't remember.
