Is it normal for evolve delrin hammers to get grooves in it from the pin?
Since mine has a groove- my bolt rocks back and forth about a mm or 2.

I don't see how it's avoidable. Provided the dents are small, let it be.

it does that because its not adjusted properly. that is the reason that evolve developed and started including the hybrid style hammer in the kit. it is more forgiving. you should adjust your ram a little more forward.

It was-
the problem is that the length between the metal end and the delrin- (where the pin sits in) isnt the same exact dimensions of the pin- its a lil longer causing the bolt to move back a little i believe.
I re-adjusted last night for a harder click- the bolt doesnt move since im on a new spot of the hammer ( no dents on this part)
We'll see

oh your already using the hybrid. adjust it back till it clicks on the metal side and not the delrin. this will hold the bolt back even if it makes its way to the worn side of the hammer.

So instead of the front of delrin, click it on the end of the metal head?
so I would unscrew ram out.
So will this help with not wearing the delrin?( dents)

what it will do is minimize the amount of force against the rear of the slot. also lowering your lpr as much as possible will help. thus reducing the amount of actuall force on it as it moves the bolt. but if i remember right. your lpr is already pretty low.

also you have a speed so you could stand to maybe mill some grooves into the bolt for the detents to pass like the g7fly has. this will reduce a little drag as the bolt hits the detent and further reduce the inpact the bolt pin has on the hammer. its an every little bit helps kind of theorey.

I have a dezign bolt- has a section thats lathed so it passes detents with little friction.
Also i re-adjusted with your instructions and seems to be good so far.
Btw- my lpr is at 40 with no shootdown at all. Thats as low I think it will go.
