Maybe I get more responses here.
I´m PM framing my angel and I´d need info on how to get rid of the diverter plate so I can run eye wires through there. Whats the common procedure?
Or is there a better idea to running the eyes?
I´m thinking of running the eyes under the frame to the battery side and drill in to the battery tube from the outside(if someone got that, fine:))
I´d love to send it to a MT or smth but shipping from finland would jack the already high price to obscenity. Any input appreciated.

If you want to remove the diverter plate, the precuder will involve 4 set screws, a tap, and a long drill bit.
You'd have to remove the set screw on the front of the marker, between the three tubes. Then put the drill until you made a hole all the way through the sensi stick passage. Next, tap the sensi holes on the bottom and in the breach, and the two air passages on either side of the senis hole on the bottom.
It'd be a pretty in depth mod, personally, I'd run the eye wires some way else.
It's been done where it comes out of the batter tube under the roto breach, then groves are milled so it can follow a path to the outside. Crappy explanation, but there are some pictures around, mainly in the iR3 forum I believe.

I can supply you with a narrower diverter which will allow you to take wires down the side. I supply these for the spitfire conversion, you will have to tap the sensi hole and fit a 5mm grub screw into it which i will supply. Has your speed got the rectangular diverter or the curved one. Should be the rectangular one.

ok, thanks for the answers.
I´ll have to think of my options now.
Running them internally is not something I will do, all of what I´ve seen have looked like crap.
Sealing the airways does sound risky though, i´m not sure if we have that long drillbit and if we do, will it wonder around and snap.
I thought of the new diverter plate myself, we do have a waterjet to cut such a piece, just thought it would be a pain to get it to seal if one side is open so to speak.
Does your plate have a groove for o-ring or what?
How much would it be shipped to finland?
BTW I have the curved one or the one that looks like this: (__)
If not the new plate, I´m gonna route the wires so that only one wire comes between the frame and body and drill into the battery tube from the outside, eye covers will cover it up. That way I only have to file a small passage dor one wire in the frame.

It has an integral o-ring and seals very well, also the volume of air that it will pass is 16 times greater than the original diverter. I'll try to get some pics up later.

Thanks but I was too eager and drilled from the outside already :)
I just couldn´t stop myself.
I´ll keep you in mind for next time though, price seems fair enough.

£5, and postage shouldnt be much as it's very small.
I make these for the spitfire mod, and machine the markers. We use eclipse eye covers that are recessed into the body, and the wires come into the diverter area, hence the slimmer diverter.
