I need to get eyes installed in my 04 speed. I don't need a board, I don't need their eyes. Just the holes drilled and the covers. Does anyone know a place to get it done?

TAG Sportz. They drill holes to fit DM style eyes, and use E-Blade eye covers. If they are just drilling the holes their price is pretty reasonable.

also the angel Master Techs do the fly conversion, great work, I had it done to my A4 over the summer, I would recommend Bob at www.fixmyangel.com (Located in NorCal) or Ken at www.performanceangel.com (Located in Mass.)

I have pics in the official angel 4 fly picture thread if u want to see how it looks

Will an MT just drill the holes and make the eye covers?

Along with the holes you'll need to have a channel milled on the body for the wires to travel to your grip frame. Tag Sportz will do all of this. Last I heard they charge about $50 INCLUDING the eyes. W/out eyes it'll probably be cheaper. I heard Bob at Tag Sportz is great to work with.

For the work that they do they shouldn't charge $50 for it. It looks like ghetto milling if you ask me.

I have an LCD that was ACE'd by Warped Sportz (LA I believe)... the milling is great. That's another option too. Call both places and see who will do what and for how much.

tag sportz is $75 to do the milling. I can do the milling myself I have access to the machines, I just have no idea how the eye covers will go. Or what ones they use.

You have to drill and tap a couple holes above ther area where the detent is to secure the eye covers. I'm not sure what they use either but it looks like a pretty basic piece of plastic/rubber composite.

its an eblade eye cover that tag uses. bob uses a fly eye strap and mods it to fit the conversion.
