update problem

Hey guys, well I'm having some trouble trying to update my A1 to v2.2. It could just be my computer but this is what is happening. When I download the wizard to detect the USB it says successful in installing. but when I go to plug in USB and turn it on all that happens is three beeps. It sounds like it has detect but I can't find please help.

try using a different USB cable, your's could be damaged or finallly went bad.

I tried a different USB and it still doesn't detect my angel I've done this like five time.

Please describe step by step your process for programming your A1

Well I'll start at the begining I go to wdp.tv click on the software v2.2, then I save the update in my document. I open the update then go into the instructions. The instructions tell me to open the CP210x_VCP_Win2k_XP file. So I get I pop up that says open or cancel so I click open. Then I click the CP210x_VCP_Win2k_XP to install the Shield wizard. So I install the wizard successfuly. Then I go to install the USB Driver. So I install that Successfuly. Then the instruction says to pug in your usb to a PC and your Angel1, then turn on your Angel and thats were I get losed. All I get are beeps from my computer.

Unplug Angel. Go to start menu, open all programs, go to Angel Series 1 Flash Utility File, open and click on the program. Once the program runs, follow the instructions, ensure marker is on then plug in cable to angel when program asks

When I click the Angel Series 1 Flash Utility File in the Start Menu it say I have to open a file. What file do I open?

Using the Flash Utility Software, Page 6-8 describes this process in detail. Page 5 also gives you a recommendation on where and how to store the upgrade file.

When I open the file and turn on my Angel nothing happens and it just says Connect Marker. Thanks Bob for your help.

Are you plugging the cable in after the marker is switched to on?

Yes and nothing happens.

Well then it is possible your board is just bad. Recommend contacting badlands and having them diagnose/flash the board
