Well rumor i got from a person is wdp released some kind of software for lcd's or ir3,s called like love software or like sexy wdp or sexyangel or something. But the only way to install it was with the software and a data link cable.
Does anybody know what the possibilities of me finding this software and a datalink cable are? I know datalink is growing rare, and im not even sure about the information on the software.
So some questions.
1. what is the going price of the data link?
2. what is the rarity of them?
3. is the sexyangel software true?
4. what is the software about or makes it so special?
5. was the software a download from wdp, or was it on a disk?
6. The possibilities of find this software or having someone send it/copy it to me are what?

To answer you questions in order...
1. If you can find one, they can usually go for 40-60 dollars on Ebay
2. Just have to watch out for it
3. Yes, the Sexy Angel software does exist. I personally have, and used the software.
4. You are able to unlock all 26 modes of fire on the LCD ONLY!!
5. No the software wasn't from WDP, I believe it was designed by a German player.
6. No the site that had it was shut down, www.shortbuspaintball.com
I hope this answered your questions. -Chris

what dodgeballers said is right. and the only thing this will do for you if you have an ir3 is allow you to change basic settings like rop and dwell with a palm pilot. other than that it is useless for an ir3. but works wonders on an lcd.

Would it be under copyright infringment for you to share the software with me?
Btw currently i have two angel lcd boards, and will possibly have four more. When i buy broken angels i usually scrap the boards, but i mean im willing to go look for a data cable and stuff if i can still use the board or make them more up to date and decent.

Nope, it was designed to help other LCD owners do what WDP wouldn't do. Send me your email address and I'll send it to you. You will need to decompress it with like winzip. -Chris

I'm not really interested in the older angels etc, but I bet the datalink cables would not be terribly hard to make more of. all its going to be is two connectors which I would bet are off the shelf items and some wire, I'm sure cat5/telephone cable can be used. I'm not really sure what is inside that little box but I would bet it is, at most, a very simple circuit board with a few resistors that could be duplicated by anyone who can solder.
Dodgeballers, do you have one of these datalink cables? If so could you possibly open up that box and take a close up high res photo?

No I sold it about a month ago on Ebay. But never fear, after about of 30 min tracking down a site, I found what you need to know on how to build your own Data Link. Here's the site http://home.pacbell.net/riggidy/AS/dlink.htm . It has great pics and tech jargon to get one up and going. I found this site last year just before I bought my data link but never book marked it. I do have the I C Chip and the white plastic plug that goes into the LCD board itself. Good luck everyone! -Chris

ah ha; i figured there was no way I could have been the first to think to make their own datalink - the instructions on that site are great; to the thread starter I definitely recommend building your own, as trying to buy one might take quite some time and will be expensive comparatively.

man i could make one of these in like 30 minutes. anyone interested in purchasing them? i actually have a flasher so i could probably flash my own chips after i had the first one. that would keep the cost down. so who's in?
ok i researched the cost and i can build these for $20 shipped to your door. if i get enough people who want these i will purchase all the parts and whip em out.
pm me if you are interested. and ramstein, since you started the thread and im basically highjacking it. if i do em yours is free.
