DOH! odyssey paintball service

i sent out my halob for software/hardware updates on monday (4/7) and accepted the fact that i would probably have to wait till next week sometime before i got it back. well imagine my surprise when i walked into work today and found an odyssey-stickered white box sitting on my desk! :smiley:

fortunately for their no-hassle no-worry service/warranty, they just shipped me a brand new hopper. no board-swap queue downtime to deal with. w00t

unfortunately. on my original b, i had drilled a hole in the back plate so i could access the sensitivity pot w/o taking the hopper apart and had of course already sanded down the neck. i guess i'll have to buy some more sand paper tonight. :tongue:

major kudos to those guys over @ odyssey. :clap:

now i'll see how pro-paintball does in comparison. :smiley:

Viper has been exceptionally pleased with them as well. They do seem to take pretty good care of Texans tho.

Why is the dwell so high?

upping the dwell and getting a better detent was odyssey's solution to blending before the TE update came out. i changed it to 17 and just never got around to setting it back.

i'll start tomorrow off @ 14 and adjust lower. i'm curious to see what the "optimal" threshold is.

oh .. another thing .. i'm running a dye lowrise. i mention this b/c some have fixed the blending problem with the pre-te halob's by raising or lowering the hopper in the neck with the resulting goal of changing the ball position relative to the motion sensor and bolt. <thread in here somewhere>

not sure if/how the lowrise may affect things .. but thought i'd throw it out as an fyi.

i dont plan on sending my board in for an upgrade anytime soon. i never use cops and the microswitch is fine. save myself the upgrade cost and buy another tank or something. :smile:

my dwell is now @ 14 again. played with it yesterday and no problemo.

why do you ask?

you can get board swapped for 35 bucks, cobra did mine for 35 and it was a hardware change.

Jas can you help me out bro? my halo b has the go-pause delay in spinning and i would like to send it to factory ( as you did ) and get the upgrade or just the new halo like you did think you could give me the info on what i should do to get it out there?
