hey guys i have always wanted an angel and recently i have been using my dynasty shocker but I REALLY WANT AN ANGEL. so my choices for me are the g7, g7 fly, or a1. this kid i know might sell me a used one but he doesnt know what kind it is because he doesnt play so if you guys could lemme no some stuff bout the speeds that would be nice also. if you could include the pluses and minuses of each and used/new prices that would be great. btw i dont want the gat... LCD owns.

g7 and g7 fly you could tell apart- the g7 fly has milled grooves on the top(from feedneck to solinoid cover) g7 doesnt. and obviously a1 you could tell apart lol.

check the sponsors list, and if they don't have them anymore, theen check with .com sites. better get from an MT, they offer a lifetime service and know there shizznit. also the A1 is definitly a better choice it should have all of the updates and is lighter/smaller/sweeter! G7 G7fly A1 all GREAT GUNS!!!! you can't go wrong!! peace
bassdude_921,
Recommendations:
I've owned my G7 for 18 months and I highly recommend the G7. I'm a bit biased since I haven't owned any of the guns you're looking at for comparison, but I have had zero problems with my G7 - it's been easy to maintain, aethetically pleasing, fast, fairly air efficient, and has decent aftermarket parts availability - all in all, the G7 is a great gun.
Setup:
Right now I'm running with a Tadao board, Halo B rip drive and Cranium shell, Centerflag Hyperflow reg, 68ci/4500psi tank, Smart Parts Freak Barrel system, and a Check-It Unimount/ASA. Ken Crane initially tweaked the trigger out of the box for me (and after moving to the Tadao board I customized the trigger for minimal pull distance without bounce). PS - I can't remember the Tadao settings off the top of my head, but PM me if you'd like them.
Care:
I just recently greased all my o-rings without any hiccups as a temporary stop gap (I plan on replacing all the o-rings in the next couple weeks while the weather is cooler and I'm not out as much). I do recommend sending the G7 to a Master Tech (MT) for major work or if you buy a marker from someone who isn't an MT. Otherwise minor care includes keeping it contamination free on the inside and simply adding a few drops of Lovejuice to the right front chamber, and giving it a gentle rub down after every outting... ah... for cleaning.
Things to watch out for:
I did lose the front rubber grip and the bottom button peg. But as I'm using a Tadao I haven't missed the peg, nor have I had any issues without the foregrip. The feedneck fits well with my Halo, but sizing to other hoppers may be a small issue.
Speed:
For fun, I set the Tadao board from Semi-auto to max ramping. Wow. What effortless fun. No official count, but easily 18+ bps. In semi, I've found the G7 to run about 10-12 bps during games and 15-16 bps during target practice with a some effort. I ain't the best fingers in the area, but it's respectable in most games I've been in.
Accuracy:
A lot of accuracy depends on the paint and paint-to-barrel match. It's my opinion that the G7 has a little kick compared to say an Ego 06. Shot to shot consistency at the chrono is typically 287 +/- 5 fps using my setup. I've had zero drop off, but notice a bit of an arc when lobbing long-balls in woods rec ball.
Efficiency:
Air usage isn't bad. I just dropped my dwell to 9ms, and I also took out one shim compared to stock. During tournaments I try to keep my marker between 1500psi and 3000psi. This requires three fills for 1500 rounds (on average). Again, I'm using a 68ci/4500psi tank. Rarely can I get higher than 3000psi fills at the local fields.
Other:
Since this isn't a thread about hoppers - I'll keep it short. Halo keeps up using a 9V, but battery life is an issue. Using six 1.2V rechargable AA's didn't cut it for me. I also found that Center Flag reg's will "pwing" for a little bit when you go from <500psi to 3000+psi.
Price:
At one point I had thought about selling my G7 to get an A1. After recent maintenance I'm not so sure. My G7 is very fast and I'm not sure I would get the amount I want out of it. I'd recommend shopping around to find the best deal on an entire G7 marker and peripherals.
LCD vs. LED vs. OLED:
bassdude_921, I know you're after an LCD... That's cool. It's one of the things that originally endeared me to the G7. I don't like interpretting the cameleon LED of tha Tadao; however, the performance gains of the board overrode my preconceptions. I love the OLED of the A1 and at times miss the LCD on my G7. It was neat to look at the total shots, max rate, and the gentle maintenance reminders of the stock LCD. I just have to pay closer attention for care using the Tadao. The OLED of the A1 is really easy to use and navigate. I had the opportunity to put my hands on an A1 and really enjoyed it. Don't be afraid of the blinking light though - you get used to it. Just remember to carry the manual with you! :)
Good luck! Hope that helps!

Here's my deal I have owned lcd's, speeds, a-4, G7 and a A-1. Don't buy a used A-1 buy from ken or bob that will eliminate most of your problems from the get go. but i you dodn't have the $ for that check with ken and bob about a used g-7. Trust me once u own a ANGEL you will only onwn a Angel.

If you don't have the funds for an A1, you would be very happy with a G7. In my opinion, you wouldn't be dissapointed with any Angel that has eyes. A4 Fly, 05 Speed, 06 Speed, G7, G7 Fly. If efficiency is an issue, Angels before the A1 are more air efficient.

yeah this kid i know at school is rich as hell and doesnt play paintball... HE HAS 3 ANGELS!!!!!!!!! anyways he might sell me once for dirt cheap but i tink its like an 05 speed or earlier.. are those older ones able to keep up with the current models right now? he said he only used them once because he doesnt like paintball so i ask you now "is it a good deal"? they are older and cheap but i dunno if it can keep up nowadays
Believe me, the G7 can keep up with just about anything out there if it's properly set up. Most tournaments I've been to are capped at 15 bps anyways.
As for value... I've seen a new A1 go for as low as $900. I've also seen a used G7 go for $450. Granted the A1 was bone stock and the G7 had an aftermarket board and Pipe barrel kit.

Any Angel with eyes can keep up. You can find older Angels on here for pretty cheap. I just bought an 05 Speed for $350. Unless you've absolutely decided you want an A1, shop around on here for some good deals. Most everyone on here is trustworthy, and will let you know if something is wrong with their marker.

AH! You should have bought them all if you had known!
Lipe33 is right, all the Angels with eyes are as good as anything else out there.
