View Full Version : Replace main seal

My tank will not hold air over 4 hours even if I turn pressure off. From what I have read, it must be the main seal. If you have changed your main seal before, how difficult was it? Is A.I.R. user friendly?

I am having the the same problem except I am losing pressure very slow. I had about 1724 psi in it on Friday and by Monday morning there was 990 psi. I replaced the O-ring where the reg. meets the tank. Didn't see any visable marks or tears in it. I have yet to fill it back up and see if that fixed the problem. If it didn't, what else could it be? I fixed the leak at the output fitting. So i know its not that.

I have 3 O-Rings were the tank meets the reg so i could properly line up my AIR sign .. Also it doesnt leak either :D

Does lining up the AIR sticker on the tank have something to do with leaking?? I hope not.

No .... its strictly for looks :D ... but try it out with more o -rings .. who knows maybe it will solve your problem, only if it leaks from the reg to the bottle ...

So what does making your sticker face a certain have to do with stopping the A.I.R. from leaking or replacing the main seal? My previous post about changing the o-ring where the tank meets the reg was just saying that I knew it wasn't leaking from there so I knew it was inside the reg.

I could never single reg, saftey is paramount!

I agree. double reg all the way... you never really know.. and angels arent the cheapest thing to fix either.

I agree. I tried single regging cause I wanted the ultimate in Angel performance (IR3, full Freak, DEZ bolt, Angel AIR)

I got +/- 2 or 3 with average paint.

Then my AIR blew out a couple times during a tourney. Luckily I was not single regging at that time, or else I wouldve blown my solenoid on a brand-new IR3...

Now that I am double regging, I still get +/- 2 or 3 with average paint. I can shoot 14bps with no dropoff.

Any benefit to going single-reg? Not from my perspective. And there's plenty of risk, so why bother. A few extra shots per fill is negligible benefit.

Single-reg? No way in hell...

Has anyone got the kit to fix this problem from him after he was contacted? I emailed him 3 times and he said he sent it but nothing in the mail. I got no response from the last email I sent. I doubt it got lost in the mail twice. So whats the kit have in it?
